MTQ and GCG sell the flanges and gaskets also.
Awesome info in this thread, has to be one of the better threads for info in this section for quite sometime!
LOL
u need a wheel alignment dude, you cant expect to change a major susp component to a longer one and not effect the alignment. Your best bet is to wind the tie rods out on BOTH SIDES 7 full turns (put a mark on the top and count the rotations) this should bring it back to stockish.
is the permaseal one a single layer gasket? the nissan one is very thick, its made up of quite a few layers.
anyone got a part no for the permasel/acl ones?
GTS4wd: lol 10 bucks ey, what kinda gasket is it?
Wheres the best place to get one of these from? Are there aftermarket ones available or am i forced to pay near 100bucks from nissan for one?
Cheers
Simon
discopotato: wow thanks so much for that informative read!! Given me something to think about thats for sure. I think i will try this turbo anyway and see how it goes, at least i wont need a custom dump pipe now!
Cheers
thats the thing, i know know if they used a cartrage that had the garret tag on it, then put the T3 WG housing and 60mm wheel on to make it a propper 3071R or if its the shitty cropped version.. is there any way of telling?
I just got my 3071R from GCG and i was surprised to find the part number doesnt match anything from here.
GCG put their tag on it which states the P/N as GT3071R where as on the Garret tag it says
KF 0113J
GT2835R
700382-20
I asked for a GT3071R with T3 WG housing and the 60mm uncropped rear wheel... so what did i get?
