  1. i already had the sides and front bar. just got an origin rear bar, from what they told me and few ppl told me it seems that its a real luck of the draw with some of their bars fittting perfectally straight away while others (like mine) need a load of work to fit. I would have taken the bar back to D1 Garage but they sold the last bar the day after i bought mine... so its another 6-8 week wait til they get more in. As for vertex kits Viva sell them, but again they are out of stock atm, and its a 6-8 week wait for more stock. I ended up cuttng my rear bar, to make make it fit then clamping it in place and glassing it up. Heres the pics, BTW the masking tape is so it doesnt scratch the paint
  2. had it happen several times... sucks always! least they didnt damage the door on yours. You'll need to swap the handle arrangement out.. its not that hard to do, just go to Z imports and grab a black one. As for the key, you'll need to give your key and lock to a decent locksmith and they will match the barrel to suit your existing key. good luck
  3. Yeah as darren said, ive a fresh body to sticker up! Got several smaller companies helpoing out with a couple of parts and stuff, but im looking for 1-2 major sponsors. tis what it looked like today... fresh out the booth. gotta go down there tomorrow and put it all together! The colour is the new Mazda colour as seen on Mazda 3,6, RX8 etc. its a metallic and a pearl and its fair bright in the sun! Cheers to the guys from All Type Crash... have done a sweeeet job.
  4. haha thanks for the kind words mate, that 86 was a lot of fun to drive thats for sure
  5. if you would like i can email you something to give him to make it easy
  6. i reckon i might head out for a drive to watch
  7. I suggest you get Jeff to remap the ECU for 13psi for you, then you'll make a decent 180 rwkw easy!
  8. of course they will affect toe when you put them in, but this is dialed back out when you do an alignment. LCA's are a good idea if you want the extra track, but as Kudos said, they give a lot of camber too...
  9. Hey guys, i have been invited to compete at the Drift Fest 2007 at Calder Park which promises to be a huge event, Its 32 cars invite only, and the organisers are pretty much only selecting drivers which they believe have the skills to do it. Most of the Drift Aust field have not been invited due to their contract clashes etc. I'm pretty keen to give this a red hot go as first prize is $10,000... hell third prize is still 5K. The catch? The entry fee is $1500. While thats not huge compared to most motorsports, it is a tight stretch atm considering its the end of the year, and i have just spent up on my car on various things. Im not asking for people to donate me money, far from it, what i am asking tho is if anyone who is willing to help out with sponsorship through their businesses, or know of businesses in SA that would like to help out a willing driver, then that would be great. I have a full proposal already done up and i'm 100% professional about it. My car has just been resprayed, new kit and its looking 100% sweet, its the perfect Blank canvas atm. Theres an opportunity for Trade stands on the day, along with various other promotional methods. theres more info on the event RIGHT HERE If anyone is willing to help out, hit me up with an email on [email protected] or Pm. Cheers Simon
  10. so are they shorter then stock or something??
  11. yeah i realise that. Very time consuming tho!

  15. if its any help, RB20 shifters fit RB25 boxes... so the B&M shifter may well fit...
  16. do you have to modify/cut the reo to fit the big mouth bar?
  17. me wanty pm senty
  18. thanks for the replies, i would powercoat them but i cant be arsed really. heres the final finish anyway
  19. another strange fact for you, as i have no idea whats going on with mine, but my motor, in comparison to showza's, sits way further back in the engine bay, the intake plenium is millimeters away from my clutch master, theres no room behind the head for heater hoses really... and my gbox cross member doesnt line up unlike showza's who used the same one i did and all 4 bolt holes line up. cant work out why tho!
  20. in good time BTW Origin FTL..... doesnt come close to fitting..
  21. Huddy used to have a series 5 with 34 GTR rims on it, so the 32 ones will fit no probs
  22. i wouldnt run the V1's on the front....just the rear, Ive got Z 1's on the front and they are marginal.. they took a LOT of road kms from brand new to bed in and start gripping and getting some feel... even now they still feel a tad vauge. In the wet they are awesome tho! i only paid $170 each for the MAZ 1's.... so they were worth trying i guess
  23. Schmenz: Spotted 'S15' today just off marion rd i think, Simon gave a massive wave to jebus, lol. Also spotted Flick's car at work, not a fan of the front bar, but doesnt look too bad. We were at D1 Garage trying to fit a rear bar for a 4 dr 32 into the back of my 4 dr 32... didn;'t fit Jenna
  24. i'd imagine your ecu wont like an R34 CAS... you can only give it a go and find out tho!
