Hey guys, I basically gave up looking for a decent RWD Jap car for under 3k so I've gone and bought a 3.8 V6 Manual VN Wagon.. lol I have a race kart which i take to the track so this wagon is perfect... I basically want the ride on this wagon to be similar to my R33 with the HA Tien's... I know a place called 'Browns Springs' which makes custom springs for any car. If i want a S T I F F ride for this VN what sought of rates should i go for? 600pound front 400 rear??? Your advice is much appreciated!!

  7. ok guys i checked out the starion.. was a joke. Supposedly had a rebuilt motor & gearbox and oh guess what?? No receipts.. hmm guess he lost em? -Before i had gotten there, the guy had, had the car running for a while so that it runs.. barely. -Took the car for a 2 minute drive, once back the rocker cover was a pool of oil. -Power steering rack was drenched in fluid. Apparently he topped it up every 1-2 weeks & admitted he had gotten quotes of no less than $1,200 to fix it cos parts were so rare/expensive. -Interior was a joke, driver seat was all torn, plastics missing everywhere, wires hanging from everywhere. -Car honestly had no more than 40 rear wheel kw's. He showed me a dyno sheet from NT performance showing 82.6kws!, LMAO this car was honestly slower than a n/a 200b datsun that had just finished being thrashed & overheated on a farm. -Sunroof was aftermarket, not genuine, hence leaking. Honestly this car was a MASSIVE turn off on the starion. Im not going to bother looking at another one again. Can someone please find me a worked Gazelle any other small rwd, RELIABLE manual drifter!?
  8. You SHOULD be angry. Even police officers these days dont know the law!! I've spoken to 4-5 cops in the passed 2 weeks who have known less than me about the new P Plate restrictions on high powered vehicles effective 1st July. It all depends on who pulls u over. Which sucks. I'd prefer either everybody to get done for the exact same thing or vise versa.

  11. Can someone explain to me what the MPI and ECU upgrades are exactly??? What does MPI stand for????? Whats it cost to roughly get that stuff done anyway? Please let me know, cos ive pretty much bought one........

Car: 1987 Series 2 R31 Skyline TI -Full electrics -300,000ks -Auto -Grey -Clean interior -Completely original, no mods -Has a CD player so that u can listen to some Wham or Duran Duran on ur way to the station -Has 12 months rego -Also has 12 months reg -Comes with 12 months reg -Reg Expires in July 2008 Did i mention it has 12 months rego?? Doesnt come with R/W Cert, just want $1,600 for it. PLEASE come and take it, there is no room for this car!! Parents actually paid $11,000 for this car back in the mid 90's... didnt think it would be fair to ask for that much now.... $1600 TAKE IT NOW!! Dude i love R31s.. ive owned 2 imports & 1 aus spec.. but the aus specs have a few issues i cant deal with anymore.. -Handbrakes are perthetic -Girls dont wana be anywhere near them because they r dumb -I want something smaller which wastes less juice since its gonna be an everydayer... -I cant be bothered being hassled by police with an R31 turbo cos they look at em these days as much as the VL's -I have a soft spot for the Starions... My R33 is my serious drift car but will be off the road for the next year till i turn 21 & also cos i just blew the motor.. So i just want some small, fuel efficient, rear wheel drive with an awseom handbrake that will make people laugh.
  18. hmmm, not what im wanting to really hear... How are these reliability wise in comparison to like an AE86, Nissan Gazelle, Holden Piazza etc little fun rear drive drift cars...? All i want is a car which wont give me many problems, is rear wheel drive, has a good handbrake that locks up & something i wouldnt care too much about & can drive to the station with every day. Also cheap... under 3 grand.......
  19. well dude, considering they r turbo, have AWSOME interior & pop up lights & cost half of a NON power steering AE86 I wouldnt complain much about there looks...... I think they look awsome personally! some 16x9's and off u go!! Can anyone confirm they have power steering????????

  22. my bee r rev limiter was set at nothing higher than 6000 - 6500rpm was verryyy rarely set on 7000rpm which should still be nothing for a forged motor!! What annoys me is i called the builder of this engine a week ago and asked him if he could re write a receipt for all the work done to the motor since the guy i bought it off never found them.... I wanted these receipts simply for the peace of mind and the fact that i wasnt sure wether id keep this car or not with the new laws.... The builder refused to write me a receipt, all i wanted was details of what was done & how much was paid thats it! no warranty no nothing. All he agreed to was a phone number that the buyer of this car could call to ask what has been done. That doesnt satisfy me, i wanted it in writing. Is there any reason why the builder wouldnt re-write a receipt????

  24. This is wrong, this is very wrong. A week ago driving my R33 for the last day before the new penalties were in force I took my car out for a bit of a session.. First corner I entered, midway crossed up the car stalled & wouldnt start again... Got the car towed to my tuner at CREATD motorsport which was just around the corner.. and he just called me 10 minutes ago to tell me one of the pistons isnt working.. either a broken rod, rod bolt etc, god knows wont know for sure till he opens the motor.. I am extremely, extremely angry. This engine was rebuilt about 30,000kms ago by the old owner who supposedly spend 9gz there on the rebuild.. I trusted the rebuild. Engine is ment to have: Arias Forgies O Ringed & fully balanced bottom end bored 20thou with ACL Race Bearings New Linished Crank Standard rods & full standard reco head. Thats all i can remember from the top of my head.... The car is running a Microtech Plug in, with a 3inch tbo back, garret front mount & GT 28 76R turbo and a Bee R rev limiter. Car was beautifully tuned on a mild 14psi making 217 at the wheels.. I thought a setup like this should last yeeeeeeeaaaaarssss, since there are so many dudes pumping 300+ out of there standard bottom ends for so long!! At the moment im not 100% sure on what to blame, the quality of the engine build or the Bee R limiter. However, seriously i cant see it being the Bee R since it was only installed on the last tune 2 months ago and i drove the car twice a week maxxxxx, and i didnt exactly sit on limiters for a laugh when i drove the car & it was also set at a very low 6500RPM!! This car was never thrashed for a long time at once, never passed the half way line on temp, and id cruise the car for 5-10 minutes with the bonnet unhooked after every time i gave it some stick. I treat the thing like a baby. Thats why i am so angry!
