  1. Are you referring to fixed back or recliner? I am interested to know if the LowMax recliners allow easy access to the rear without sliding the seat forward? (they don't tilt forward very far from a =what I have seen.
  2. I had that exact issue on my V-spec II and spent quite a bit of time trying to resolve it. In the end a replacement screen was the answer.
  3. I did sit in Chris's car but that is a Zeta fixed back seat and I would really like too check out a recliner style, mainly to see how far forward it fold and how low it is. If Bride's are not ADR/legal then are all the people that have them just taking a risk being defected?
  4. Bump... Surely there is someone with a sego of these in their car?
  5. Drivers electric window motor? if it is available, was it going up and down easily/quickly?
  6. Hi One mod I have wanted for a long time is to lower the seating position in my R34 GTR. From what I have found so far the Bride Stradia/Gias seems to go as low as possible using off the shelf parts. Does anyone in Brisbane or GC have an R34 GTR fitted with these seats that I could sit in before shelling out the cash? Am also interested in what the rear access is like with them, as they do not seem to flip forward very far. Preferably genuine items, but if the replicas as exactly as low then that will also do. Thanks in advance Stretch.
  7. No I imported them as Personal Imports from NZ. So did all the paperwork myself. Apologies if tats not enough for a vote in this thread.
  8. Hi Ended up having my cars both complied by Motorguard here in Brisbane after getting a recommendation from Kristian. John from Motorguard was really efficient and sorted the safety certs/road worthy as well as the towing from the customs warehouse. So that may be a vote for Iron Chef I think. I also think Motorguard does not actually do much importing, mainly the complience
  9. Sadly to much to take care of to make it to the Monthly meet today, but next time for sure. Happy to host a viewing of the river fire, in fact it was once of the benefits the estate agent mentioned :-)
  10. Pity I missed this... If anyone on the list above is based near Brisbane please let me know as I would like to have a look at them once they arrive.
  11. Wil not be able to make this one due to still staying out in The GC for the rest of the week. Should also have my car by the time the next one roles around.
  12. Hello, as per some of the suggestions above, we pushed the budget "a little" and have managed to find a place in Kangaroo Point that ticks all the boxes. Booked to sign lease and move in on Thursday, will post a link/pics once we move in. Its expensive, but will make our introduction to Brisbane first class. Thanks for the help/advice.
  13. Man what a tiring/stressful day driving all over Brisbane looking at rentals yesterday. choyda I am actually after 2 garages so that seem to put the wool store apartments out of my price range. But have added it to the search. Anyone here live in The Valley? Is the crime (car related specifically) really as bad as the stats make it seem? Would you guy call a garage under a Queenslander style house, where the walls are made out of slats of wood with gaps in-between... SECURE? Its probably ok but as I am originally from South Africa where a garage like that would just be to easy to get into. At least it will not have any sideways rain to content with like it would in Wellington NZ :-) As we have just arrive in QLD we are keen to stay near to the city as possible, which is why we are not yet looking further out. And after seeing a number of older style houses yesterday it is looking like and apartment or townhouse would suit us better And not just because I would prefer to bath the GTR than cut the grass... So I know we have a really specific and long list of requirements which is gonna make it harder. But we have a mate that is likely to move in with us so might have to up the budget slightly. Cadmoon I will certainly be joining the club as soon as she is on the road.
  14. Thanks for the input chaps. I will have a look at those areas now Tony. There is a real jump in quality between $500 and $650/700 per week. Its a lot of cash, but some of you may be familiar with the saying "happy wife, happy life"
  15. I have not got any quotes yet, will be ringing around in the next couple of days. Customs valuation was only done today for the import so I have a bit of time up my sleeve
  16. I did a lot of research before buying mine and all the info points to the valving being the critical component and you often do not get that with the more affordable brands, even from the likes of Tein andHKS. I got lucky and found a new set of BILSTEIN (B16 PSS9) and can highly recommend them. Spring rates: Front 7Kg Rear 8kg Soft enough on the road and I am sure they will be firm enough for track work. Admittedly the damping adjuster is not great but the valving is meant to be top notch. As owen1r says rather buy them once.
  17. Hi So we finally made the move to QLD and staying in a temporary apartment in the GC. As my job is in Brisbane I'm on the lookout for a rental property in Brisbane. If anyone has any contacts for a GTR and cat friendly rental property please let me know. Or perhaps knows of a good rental agent. So far we have shortlisted: Paddington Newfarm Westend (where my job is) Toowong Moorooka Fortitude Vally (although on closer inspection there looks to be a lot of crime in the Valley so its off the list) Bulimba Open to other suggestions. Thanks Stretch
  18. Okay thanks gents, it a real pity when this kind of thing does not get off the ground. I will just get in touch with the usual companies that have been recomended in other threads
  19. This is a great idea. Did it ever get off the ground? I have 2 vehicles needing insurance in the next month or so...
  20. They are both personal imports Kristian I would have used Iron Chef but you are not in QLD ;-)
  21. Hello I have 2 vehicles in a container on their way from New Zealand to Brisbane. I have already spoken to Richard from Special Vehicle Imports but have since realised that most of the comments about them on here are very old. Has anyone used them recently, or are they any other recommended options in Brisbane/QLD Thanks Stretch
  22. My Precious... made me smile She is Athlete Silver and her name is Erin by the way :-)
  23. Well I really should have congratulated you first on getting engaged... I am moving to QLD in the next month or 6 weeks and will be bringing my R34 GTR with me and would be more than happy to help you out on your special day. As you say it is still some time away, but put me on your list and we can firm up the details once I get to QLD.
  24. Would also help if you let us know what "service" you were after? Is it simply delivering special people to the wedding in style?
