if its low revs it could be vacuum, i had that problem. just had to go through all the hoses til i found a split. manifold vacuum was not on. all fixed! ps work on your english dude...

I have no idea what poncams are, so out of curiosity... what are they? Would love the discs, though... suspension (if Kris and darrin change their minds), and exhaust. Do you have any pics of the i/c install? cheers alex

as far as tall diff ratios go, such as a 4.11, its to produce more torque. a 4L ford or 3.8 commo make power from lower, dont need as many revs. also, these engines arent quite refined enough to be safe running at the 7000 that ours can, rather 4500-5500, hence a lower ratio. my falcon has a 4.11, cos i dont need it to get to high speeds, its a HP hero car. a dyno pony, not a circuit car. Yes, skylines and such are not far from being a road going race car, which is why it doesnt take much warming over to make and idiot out of a clown in an aussie 6 or 8. a higher diff ration means less high speed, less economy, but higer power, is all. sports cars, imported or not, are aimed at performance. Passenger cars such as commos and falcs are designed with economy in mind. (why dont the drivers of these family trucksters realize this before they talk shit out their windows?)

they definately are - shit my car has the same engine, buddy. if it can shift my car, it can shift a 33. But a few owners have a tendency of thinking they are the be-all and end-all of performance motoring. sorry guys, but they are a step in the right direction. distance between bottom inside corners of the lights on my S1 is about 830 - whole heap less. which is shite cos i wouldve loved an s2 grille with those lamps... and here is my car with the monkey warehouse nismo front bar. you'll see its a lil bit different to the pic, was modified at DMD Image. you can see it sits a whole bunch lower than the rest of the car. we're trendsetters, ega4it. front bar, wheels... and thats all... rest to come.

yeah... well to recollection i was cruising on the limiter (fuel cut off a couple of times). ADR allows speedos to be within 10% accurate, which comes into play the faster your going, so yeah. id say i was cruisin at 180. any 5 stud ford, mitsubishi, toyota, and obviously nissan will. if you get ford rims, they have to be AU (99 falcon) or later, or the offset will be wrong. they all use the same stud pattern (5 stud, 114.3mm diameter), and the same offset. I have a 97 stagea running 18x8.5inch wheels with 245 rubber all round, to suit au falcon, and they fit sweet. they use the same dimensions on 33 skylines, so if they can fit a wheel that big, im sure 16in stockies will. rob ps just by the way i have a set of 15in stagea mags with new directional tyres (just for compliancing) for sale. :-)

spotted - my car! by a speed camera... 3 am, desolate highway in the MIDDLE OF FRIKEN NOWHERE, doing a speed run. got a nice little pic in the mail of my numberplate, and a $700 fine, 8 pts. 6 mths suspension. 179 in a 110 zone. Good old speed limiter. car will now not be spotted for a while. mods time...
