  2. got a Bosch 023 (big bro of 040) intank fuel pump waiting to go in mine, i was gona give it a go this weekend, but after reading some threads on how to install an 040 in a GTR, think il pay someone to do it, seems wayyy to hard :S
  3. I received my nistune stuff last week When you order it they ask for ur ecu number on the casing, Now is this to put a stock standard base tune on the chip? So if I install it, would the car drive/idle like the stock ecu ? Is this fine for the car? Or is driving around with the nistune chip in the car before it gets tuned a big no no?

  5. my air con has just stopped working ! i took it to get a regas few weeks ago and the guy said sometimes the condensor fan would work and sometimes it wouldnt and suggested that the control unit under the glove box is the problem. what does it look like? where is it exactly and how easy is it to change myself? any pic/info would be ace ! thanks

  10. After buying genuine Nissan exhaust manifold studs and bolts I wouldn't recommend buying them from anywhere else. The nuts used on the head to manifold studs are "pinched" ie are slightly oval so once done up there not ment to come loose !
  11. Are 700cc injectors on a gtr aiming for around 300awkw too big? Can you get the car to idle properly with them running a nistune ecu? There going for a good price on eBay at the moment. My tuner said there overkill I should be getting 550's or 600's at most, but they r way more expensive! Suppose it's good to have a it of extra room incase the engine gets rebuilt oneday and chase more power, just concerned with idling etc

  17. Can anyone confirm the size of the studs please? Are they M8 x 1.25mm - 38mm long hi tensile steel? Are the ones used on the head for the manifolds the same ones used for the turbos to bolt the dump pipes too ? Cheers guys
  18. hey all, ive nearly finished getting all my supporting mods together for my turbo upgrade at the end of this month today i purchased genuine nissan exhaust manifold gaskets, manifold to turbo gaskets amd turbo to dumps gaskets,and afew oil line gaskets etc too now i want to make sure ive got all the parts necessary, i dont want to cut corners i would rather outlay money for parts now and do it right the first time, so im wondering if its worth putting new exhaust manifold studs in while the turbos are out? do the old ones have a "used by date" ? or are the old ones perfectly fine to use again? also i read people saying something about copper washers? im assuming these go somewhere on the oil/water lines? anyone have a part number? any info would be of great help, Thanks

  20. Can it support rb20/rb25 air flow meters for a gtr? My goal is around 280 - 300awkw relisticly by next month
  21. check resistance of your water temp sensor (both when cold and hot) if unsure just change anywayz its not that expensive also make sure you have the correct sparkplugs/heat range...this was the prob with mine believe it or not
  22. just checked the old plugs they are NGK R had abit of time so i just put them back in, started the car and went around the block, car hasnt been started in 1 week and it ran perfectly ! il keep an eye on it in the coming weeks hopefuly this was the prob !
  23. hmm funny you should mention this, the car had NGK iridiums in there when i bought it, few months ago i put fresh ones in, exactly the same ones gapped to 0.8mm, im pretty sure the problem started around then, might be worth pulling the new ones out and put the old ones back in and see how it goes thanks ! im running stocks bov's
  24. old thread but saves me starting a new one about the same problem im having past few months ive noticed when i first start the car in the morning, everything is fine, idles perfect, no misfire etc i let it idle for 30 or so seconds then begin to drive, this is where the problem start, it hesitates/stutters/lack of power then as the engine temp needle starts to rise everything runs 100% i thought it was my afms so i bought new r33 gtr ones, problem still there just chcked my water temp sensor and it registered 3.5k ohms dead cold....yet to get a reading when hot what else can it be its realy annoying !! ive noticed if i let my car idle for afew mins so the temp rises abit, i can drive off with no problems !
