No... I believe that the SR-IIIs are the tightest recaros available... I'm sure someone with some prototype Recaros from Germany will prove me wrong on this Merli. :uh-huh:
-
Trend, Sport, Style... They're all more upmarket... Electric seat positioners, memory functions, inflatable lumbar support... Believe it or not, Recaro SRs are the 2nd cheapest (decent)Recaro available... Right after the dodgy N-Joys that Proton put in the GTi. There are cheaper, but you wouldn't even bother sitting in them to test them out... Merli. :uh-huh:
-
They are Recaro SR-IIIs out of an Integra Type-Rice... Despite what people tell you, they are not the same as the Recaro SRs you can buy from Roman Autotek... They have firmer padding and they squeeze tighter around the thighs and sides of your back... To get the Recaro SRs from Roman Autotek retrimmed in the same Recaro materials as the Type-R, it would cost $800 a seat, as quoted by Roman Autotek. Add to this the price of the seats ($995 each I believe), and you have very expensive seats to replicate. Best bet is to find someone with a Type-R who wants to upgrade their seats... I won't give you an price indication, because they can charge as much as they want for these awesome seats... If you're coming on ONARUN's cruise tomorrow, you can try the seats out... Merli. :uh-huh:

I've decided to keep the car. I couldn't bear to sell it, and none of the people who came to look at the car deserved to own my baby. That, and I have decided that a GTR isn't worth $40,000 more than my car. All in all, tough titties. She's staying with me. Merli. :uh-huh:

Hehehehe... not my car mate... I didn't take the shot... You coming to this Friday's cruise? Merli. :uh-huh:

It's official!! I'm now the proud owner of an R33
Merli replied to DentonR33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ahhhh... I assumed that you already had a full exhaust! If not, definitely get a dump pipe, front pipe and 3" cat... You'll get a nice power gain out of these... When I just put the 3.5" C-West cat-back system on mine, I got no power gain... It's only when I did the front part of the exhaust that I got a nice power gain!! Get a PowerFC, not an S-AFC... Not *that* much more, and it's a full programmable ECU, not just an Air/Fuel Controller For boost control, I use an APEXi AVC-R and I swear by it Merli. :uh-huh: -

Definitely suspension I reckon R33s handle like boats with stock suspension I got a full whiteline kit put on mine for about $3000, and it was the best modification I have done to the car!!!! It makes it so much more fun to drive, and makes it MUCH faster around tight racetracks like Wakefield Park... After that's sorted, then go for your power mods Electronic Boost Controller ECU (PowerFC?) Front mount intercooler Fuel System BIG TURBO!!!!! Yay Merli. :uh-huh: -

Nah mate... If you want that GTR look, stick with the Series 1 headlights, because all GTRs came with those shape headlights... No R33 GTRs were released with the Series 2 headlights!!! Yeah, looks like a very clean car... Spotless interior too!!! Well done, and welcome to the world of skylines and endless boost Merli. :uh-huh: -

Denton... Looks nice mate... Only that it has a Series 2 interior, but has a Series 1 front. Looks like the radiator support has been replaced too... Previous owner probably rear-ended someone and decided to put a Series 1 front on there... Will look awesome with your new wheels on there!!! You'll have to cruise upto Sydney and show us all Merli. :uh-huh: -

Need Advice on installing Speakers on My car! Help
Merli replied to Pva_Glue's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
No, they were installed in a Proton As you may have guessed, the 6.5" Mid-bass was mounted in the door, and the 4" Mid-range and 1" Tweeter were mounted on a custom fibreglass kickpanel. Merli. :uh-huh: -

Merli replied to Pva_Glue's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Boston 6.5s are 2-Way Splits (6.5" Mid-Bass, 1" Tweeter) Boston 6.5³s are 3-Way Splits (6.5" Mid-Bass, 4" Mid-Range, 1" Tweeter) The 6.5³s sound much more natural with the extra Mid-Range frequencies... They are really worlds apart, you can't compare them.... Mine are about 1.5 years old... But haven't been used for the last 6 months and have recently (1 month ago) been removed from the car. I suppose I can take pics if you *REALLY* wanted them, but they look exactly like the ones off the website. Merli. :uh-huh: -

Merli replied to Pva_Glue's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Jackal... I had Boston's Flagship 6.5³'s in my old car, and I can vouch that they are absolutely magnificent speakers (as you you imagine) They retail for $1600 and I'm asking $800 for them. The only problem is that one speaker mounting hole is broken on a 4" Mid-range.. Merli. :uh-huh: -

Street Racing report on Today Tonight
Merli replied to Blitz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well... Was anyone really surprised at the report? Did you *REALLY* think for just one second that they would be showing a favourable report showing the 95% of car enthusiasts who just like to meet up, go for a cruise and chat about their passion? No. That doesn't get television ratings, and that doesn't help politicians in their quest for election votes. But then I must add that whoever that Glenn dickhead is, he is a f**kING ARSEHOLE. What kind of degenerate dickflop has that opinion on cops anyway? "The only good cop is a dead cop"?!?!?!?!! Are you mentally retarted?!?! I hope they throw the book at him, and confiscate that car of his. He adds nothing to our car enthusiast community and I'll bet he's one of the dickheads that does burnouts in BWCP and pisses everybody off. If he really is VP of BWCC, then it's time to elect a new one. Merli. -

I vote for a simple: WWW.SKYLINESAUSTRALIA.COM sticker where people can put where they choose, but recommended to be put on top of rear windscreen for uniformity. Also, I WHOLE HEARTEDLY vote AGAINST different levels of membership. Merli.

What the f**k? Just start an IRC Channel. Here we go. Network: AustNET Channel: #SkylinesAustralia Easy, and much MUCH better than Java-based chat shit. Merli.

Why don't we just have a poll of: Pit Style Crew Shirt T-Shirt Polo Shirt and THEN decide on the colours?!?!?! Personally I wouldn't want a Pit-Style Crew Shirt. Merli.

New colour theme for forums!!!
Merli replied to Merli's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
With new colour themes, can we please make sure that the TICKS next to forum names on the main list contrast with each other? At the moment, it's impossible to tell which forums have new posts cos both ticks look the same Merli.
