  1. HAHAHAHA... That has to be the world's longest sentence /me gives Ash a few periods and commas No worries dude... I was just emphasising that this is honest information, not some ploy to sell my PowerFC.
  2. My post in the other thread addressed this problem... Perhaps you should read it: http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...t&threadid=3999
  3. I didn't suggest the PowerFC because I'm selling one. I suggested it because it's the easiest and best solution to your problem. I ran 0.9 bar boost (14psi) on my R33 GTS-t for about 8 months, and it didn't miss a beat. Anything over 10psi, and the standard ECU starts to retard timing and you get a huge hole in your power curve. Anythin over 14psi, and the ECU will cut fuel, making your car seem like it just hit a brick wall for a second. That's the overboost protection you're experiencing. The PowerFC fixes both the retarded timing and overboost protection problems that you are facing. Here's a dyno chart of my car on standard boost, and then when I tried to dial in 0.9 bar... This wasn't the boost cut, it still pulled smoothly, but you can see where the ECU goes "OH SH1T... too much boost" and retards the timing: Here's a dyno chart of the car's power after I put the PowerFC in. No other mods since the previous dyno graph I posted above.
  4. Dyno testing won't replicate real world driving loads. If you don't believe me, turn down the boost and see if it still does it. Then turn it up again, and floor it again. And then turn down the boost and floor it... And then turn up the boost and floor it... Repeat as many times as it takes until you realise that I'm right
  5. standard ECU's overboost protection. Solution: Lower boost, or get a PowerFC.
  6. I've calculated it once, not even including insurance or petrol... Just mods alone.... Lets just say I could have bought an R32 GTR and modified that as well That was a while ago too... As some of you know, I've spent another crap load on the car... I think that bumps me to a highly modified R33 GTR worth of mods to my GTS-t BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... I ****en love it
  7. hahaha... sorry mate... my bad Yeah, 220-230kw @ wheels would probably make more sense for the mods that have been done to the car... Would make sense too, as we were about the same down the straight, and I was running 0.8 bar, so I would have been at about 220rwkw...
  8. I wasn't running full boost because I had Optimax in the tank, and my car always pings when I use Optimax I'll make sure I have a full tank of Mobil or BP next time, so I can regain those 50rwkw I lost by turning the boost down I'm not sure what session it was when you were following my lines... I have done a lot of trackdays, so I know basically what lines to take, but to get them 100%, it only comes from lots and lots of laps, which Paul (Oz97GTR) has, so he was able to show me the optimal lines to take for the track. I was basically turning in too early, and apexing a little early, which slowed my exit speeds... During the last session when I was driving the correct lines, I was held up on every single lap, so it was possible that you were able to follow my lines, as I was going quite slowly... I'll take you out for a few laps next time, or hop in with Paul who knows the track like the back of his hand... Your lap times will drop dramatically... I do remember coming down the straight one time, and I couldn't catch you... I was thinking "DAMMIT!!! I NEED TO TURN UP MY BOOST NOW!!!!" My car was dynoed at 275.8rwkw @ 1.2 bar on SAS Dyno... (I was running 0.8 bar on the track) Your car made around that at all 4 wheels right? Or even more than that if I remember correctly...
  9. Jon... I only timed my second session... I managed a 1:59, and I was taking *all* the wrong lines... turning in way too early on turns 2, 5, and 7... I went out with Paul, and he showed me the proper lines... I went out for the last session, and even though I was held up on *every single lap*, I felt that I was going much MUCH faster... doing at least 1:57s... I pitted at the end of the session and excitedly reached over for the lap timer, and I saw it's screen was off.... F U C K! I forgot to turn it on Oh well, so the best timed lap I got was 1:59, but I know I did much much better than that in the last session. I'll have to prove it next time Anyway... 1:59 for the first time at EC isn't too shabby.
  10. I'm interested...
  11. What colour is the GTR Rear Wing? I am also after a new bootlid for R33 GTS-t... How much for both? I will pay shipping to Sydney.
  12. What wiring? It's a mechanical BOV. As I said, I cut off the adaptor flange so I could weld it onto my custom intake piping. You get the BOV, and an adaptor plate welded onto a short pipe, ready to weld onto your intake piping, or onto another flange to mount in the factory position. It doesn't come with any vacuum hoses, but whoever installs it for you can provide you with some for $5 max.
  13. C's short shifter is the way to go. NISMO one is useless... I've felt the Mines one in FATGTR's R33 GTS-t, and it felt very similar to the C's one.
  14. I have one available. Blitz Dual Drive BOV. I bought it new in an ECR33 kit, but I cut the adaptor off since I have custom intake piping. It was on the car for less than a week when I replaced it with a Trust Type-R BOV. You get the Blitz DD BOV with both Trumpet and Filter attachments. I'm asking $300. email me at [email protected]
  15. I have a brand new gauge available. The wiring has been installed, the the gauge has never been put in the car. I have now removed the wiring. It's a 60mm APEXi Black Face Boost Gauge. Normal retail is $450, I'm want $300. email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
  16. 2nd hand, but in perfect condition. No hand controller, PowerFC only. Works 100%, as ECUs don't wear out like suspension or turbos. email [email protected] for a price if you're interested. Located in Sydney.
  17. Ryan ----> <---- Mel & Rick
  18. (Hot Blonde) ----> <---- Me Minh -----> :burnout:
  19. Actually it didn't come with a BOV... I had to put that on myself
  20. HAHAHAHA Ryan :shake: Whatever.. There's a reason why it still has it's stupid GTR badges... Sorry I can't come tonight boys, I've got plans to go get maggot in the city with a hot blonde... :uh-huh:
  21. WOOHOO!!! A new number to start pranking
  22. ^----------------------- What he said :uh-huh:

    Dude. I have a Blitz Dual Drive (New Model). It was from an ECR33 Kit, but I cut the adaptor off the pipe, as I have custom piping, and couldn't use the pipe that came with the kit. It was on the car for about a week until I replaced it with a larger Trust Type-R BOV. I have an HKS GT3040, and the Blitz Dual Drive didn't flow enough air, so I had to replace it. It's basically brand new. Only a week old, and comes with BOTH attachments (Filter and Trumpet). I'm located in Sydney, and am asking $350 for it. You can contact me at [email protected]
  24. check your PMs mooks
  25. Scottd is also coming... I'll come if I can be bothered to change the wheels over again ... and pending how much work I have to do...
