<sigh> Thanks for the heads up guys... I've been through seven different twin plate clutches (and one triple) in my travels, some good, some bad, some excellent.... I thought I'd try something new, but after hearing the above reports, I'll stick with the tried and true OS Giken TS2CD. It'll be my THIRD one At least it'll be a known quantity, but I miss out on trying new technology

Really??? Tell me more! What broke, and why?

Hmmmm... 29th... No chance of my car being ready by then
-
Yep... Exedy Twin Plate...

Okay... one of these on it's way from Japan... Look at that flywheel!

DJRIFT - Absolutely... But to be honest, I thought it would last longer... daz - Mmmm... carbon I'll have to see what the budget stretches to... I've had a pretty fearsome spending spree lately
-
Don't need such extreme clutches. It's a track car, not a drag or drift car.... Twin plate will be more than sufficient
-
Yep... caught the coverage as well... Looks like you guys had an absolute BALL! I definitely have to do Targa sometime in the future

Blue EVO was driven by Daniel Caprar... An old racer from way back (Used to have an R33 GTR). Very talented driver, who isn't afraid of smashing ripple strips to chase those laptimes Not sure if he posts on SAU... My car didn't make it (drivetrain gremlins sabotaged my day), so I was puttering around in the red BMW... Yellow LS1 R32 was Stuart from Wollongong. Absolutely IMMACULATE car. I'm very impressed I believe that SAU have booked another OP day in October. Hopefully we have GP layout again. Much more fun than South Circuit...

Good to see people on SAU have good taste ............ except for joeyjoejoe that is -
So much fun... Pity my real car couldn't come out and play.... But there's always next time!
-
Well.... Car didn't make it to the track. Problem with the clutch apparently, will know more next week I guess. Punted the Beemah around instead, which was fun... Great handling car, but needed MUCH stickier tyres to get some real corner speed.

That's why you should ALWAYS point the ducting to the inside CENTRE of the rotor.... The air will go through the vanes inside the rotor to cool both sides of the disc. Those setups that you see where the ducting points directly at the rotor face is far from ideal.

What's there to worry about? Everything is going to go smoooooothly.............. right???? RIGHT?!?!? RIGHT?!?!?!

Too late then.... I've got my eye on another one that I'm going to see for the second time this weekend. I've waited for your photos for 2 weeks now... Can't be that hard to get someone to take some snapshots for you
