  1. im pretty sure the head rest knobs would just pop on and off. my need to lever with a small screw driver or something. And what do you mean by the lumber support? do you mean the knob on the inner side of the drivers seat that adjusts the side supports of the seat?
  2. Anyone have pics of the standard r33 wheels painted? Trying to decide what would be better. gloss, semi-gloss, or matte.
  3. I have re-installed a system, but it just doesnt sound as loud as what it did it the previous car. I have a oldish pioneer deck (for some reason does not have a seperate antenna power wire?). The h/u isnt running any speakers, but has outs which go into a response 50x4 amp. The 2 channels on the amp run into crossovers which go to response tweeters and woofers. The last channel runs a response sub. I dont really have much experience in installs but i was pretty confident that i got it right. I might need to check that the wiring coming from the amp is correct. The sub runs off the 3th channel +ive and 4th channel -ive. one side of the amp is high pass and the other side (sub) is on low pass. That sound correct? The system was pretty decent in the old vehicle, but now it just seems as though it is not as powerful. Where did i go wrong and what should i check? I can get the model numbers if required. Also, would it be possible to just install a simple switch in line with the antenna so it only goes up when the radio is on and the manual toggle is switched?
  4. And would anyone have contact details to post up?
  5. tyre specs please
  6. Would fit mine then, but i dont know enough about them to consider them as a worthwhile investment.
  7. I guess it would depend also how much travel and how hard the suspension feels. Are you able to adjust after a week or so?
  8. Doesnt anyone travel in the right lane?
  9. I fitted a similar kit. Just as you suspected, the black stuff would need to be trimmed. Also the inner wheel guard need to be removed and possibly a little bit on the front bar would need to be trimmed for the pipes to run.
  10. I cant see any problems running it. But depends on the + in your 300+kw. Is it a bar and plate? Are they the ones that use the stock piping locations? If so, you may need to think about if you upgrade to a different intake manifold.
  11. doesnt really look like a turbo? where do you get them that small?
  12. Is it possible to widen the stock r33 gtst wheels? Does anyone know if it is possible/safe? I would like to go a couple of inches bigger. Where would do it and ho much?
  13. Its hard to know the problem. Have you checked the fuses? checked the wiring? I found that the connectors on the actual horn had become very loose, so i replaced them. Checked the conection on the steering wheel? Try using a multimeter to find the problem. I take it you have searched?
  14. Is it a gtir?
  15. Yeah, i have installed and bolted in my airbag. It didnt take off my head when i turned the power back on, so im guessing im on the right track. i got the horn to work as well, which was simple enough. If you have some questions about the install, post them up. As i said, my mechanic installed the wheel, i just done the airbag.
  16. I dont think it really matters where the thread is, stickied or not. The ctown thread has had a large growth since it started and i think that where ever it is, it will be posted in quite reguarly. So it will continue to be bumped to the top of the list. I cant seem to see problem that you some of you guys are fusing about?
  17. The original seats had adjustable bolster support too. And i think a differnt trimming on the seat.
  18. sticky or not, leave them open
  19. From what i can recall, fast wont be able to tell you if it was branded with 40th ann. badges. You will just know that it is from the build date.
  20. I think i have seen them. Looked easy to do as it had heaps of bends that could be used.
  21. MKDR33, im pretty sure there is about three threads on removing a steering wheel. I just couldnt find any on the installation of one. From what i have read, the airbag would only go off if it had power, not by impact alone. So if you disconnect the power, it will be fine. Im not sure about the theory on draining the power, as i didnt think that it was actually stored anywhere? Most people that removed their airbag wheel usually only complain about the airbag light that stays on. So, if you are going to remove it, be prepared to fix this by the methods in those threads. As mentioned in this one, my air bag light still operates as normal, which could be due to a resistor. Mick, any pics or help you could offer would be great for me or anyone else that may need this thread. Im pretty sure to reset the computer, it was to turn the ignition on and then hit the drivers door strike button several times. But ylwgtr2 could confirm this, as i remember reading it from another thread that he posted on. The only wiring diagrams that i have are the ones that have been made available on these forums. So if you require a specific one, have a search around, save them, then print it out if you want a hard copy.
  22. dont you know it? you posted in the wrong section
