there's not much performance gain from L24 to L28, unless you really work the engine. I mean ideally if you wanna keep the old school donk you'd wanna bore it out to a 3.1L and fit some mikuni carbs to it or someshit. but here's reality... you nor anyone on this side of the planet will not be fucked doing all that. so just keep the shitty engine that's in it till it carks it from a cracked headgasket or soemthing and then throw it out, find another engine and repeat the process till you can afford a better car. here are your order of priorities: 1. get car in registerable condition 2. register car 3. make sure it drives OK 4. modify it or think of changing engines now stop being a retarded dickbag with grand dreams when all you've got atm is a shitty rusted out car that's not even on the road.

Exactly, I've been driving my skylines around for a while, always had one since 1999/2000ish and I think I've only been pulled over "randomly" a handful of times, mostly when I was on my P's many years ago. I'm always nice to them and respectful (start with a smile and a cheery good morning) and they do a quick check on rego etc and I'm off. I've lost 1 point in the last 10 years, which I'm guessing helps when they bring up my record. I did have a newbie copper try to find a turbo and BOV on my N/A GTS in 2002 (think the exact term he used was "you think you're so smart... I'll give you the burger with the lot"), and did end up copping a "failed to indicate" fine, which I was more than happy to cop after the amount of laughs me and his supervising officer got out of him.

C210's are shit. they're old, they're full of rust, they sell for the same amount as a newer R31, they're not a collectors item unless you get a special edition, you can't convert them to a "GTR" spec like a C10 or C110, they handle like a car from the 70's and look like ass. You'd be a fool to get one unless you're really really into em. You'll notice that the guys who own em keep em in mint condition and spend a fortune on em, cos they love that model. If you're just getting one as a cheapie, a first car, or cos you want a slice of nostalgia, bring me your money and I'll defecate on it and set fire to it, so I can save you the trouble of finding out what a waste it is a year down the track.
