  1. Car got complied and road registered on club plates. First aftermarket mod 7inch double din Android head unit with CarPlay and a bunch of adaptors so I don’t have to hack into the wiring.
  2. On my commuter B Class merc I run Winrun R330 run flats. They feel the same as the Michelins they replaced and so much better than the Pirelli PZ4's that my mate runs on his A Class. The road noise is marginally more according to the noise app on my iPhone at 80km/h by 0.3db. I've heard Sailun's are pretty good too. There are good Chinese brands and ones with terrible QC. There's also heaps of non Chinese brands that manufacture in China. Buy tyres from someone local that you can have a decent warranty and quality conversation with. Why not... tyre compounds and tech have come a long way since we used to question if Kumho's were any good in 2010. Plus I'm not picking up the tab of the corporate motheship sponsoring the F1 or other sporting events.
  3. I might be selling mine soon. She’s too bone stock - I don’t have the heart to rip into it.
  4. Oh man that's a sweet GTS4! Such nice mods and a GTR bonnet as well! I think I got rid of mine around the same time. Just bought another one for like 3 times the price now 😭
  5. Nice one! Welcome to the forums. A few of us are nursing the old birds back to health.
  6. Is that regular 3M wrap? Should be more durable than that. unless it was melty and someone brushed against it?
  7. you won't find many Australian exporters holding stock, it's not the usual business model. They will often act as sourcing agents, so you tell them what you want, and then they actively go an look for the car that matches your criteria. Only used car dealers here hold stock, but you won't find many old imports at used car dealerships (only newer imports from 2015ish onwards.) Japan is a different kettle of fish as there are exporters who make money by the tax refund of exporting cars out of japan, hence it makes financial sense to hold a few cars, let them appreciate in value and then export them. Top Rank etc. do this.
  8. Now you just need to make a kit out of this and flog it to the Americans for 10X the price.
  9. Depends on the system you're running. Factory 18 gauge wire should be able to handle up to 200W.
  10. Reuse existing wiring from the front to the back or from an aftermarket amp in the boot to the front speakers?
  11. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They constantly remind mum that dad's car is faster. 20 years ago I thought killerwasps at wheels was all that mattered. Now, those 4 words "Dad's car is faster/cooler/nicer/fun" is all I live for. The missus is now eyeing off an Evo 9 wagon. The arms race has begun.
  12. @Streeter on the forums can help you grab stuff from YAJ and ship it over as easily as possible. Generic freight forwarders won’t know how to handle car parts. He’s my go to guy for getting stuff big and small.
  13. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p1085379285 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x1092117435 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g1080782107 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b1083018033 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g1094887579 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s1083690206 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c1125320150 Most of them seem to be around the 80000 Yen mark for the latch and the support (roughly $800 AUD plus shipping). You could ask @Streeter if he can get it for you and forward it.
  14. Reckon someone colourmatched Calsonic blue? or a poorly matched LM GT-R?
  15. Oh my bad, I was thinking of the bonnet support. latch and mounting bracket is a trip to the wreckers. try the S13 bonnet latch, looks remarkably similar: 65601-35F00
  16. https://speedspec.co.nz/products/nissan-blue-vin-tag Custom plate laser etched with new paint code. Looks like it's called "Traffic Blue" by RAL: https://ral-chart.co.uk/blue/k7/ral-5017-traffic-blue/
  17. If you've got a standard GTR bonnet, then go with this: https://justjap.com/products/jjr-bonnet-damper-gas-strut-nissan-skyline-r32-gtr?currency=AUD You'll need to adjust the struts if you have a fibreglass or carbon bonnet though.
  18. installed child restraint mounts on rear parcel shelf
  19. I set a budget for all of them and they all came in under so thankfully didn't spend too much. I think there's a couple that are 100% intact so I'll be using those, and the rest I'll 3D print the broken bits (which I can scan off the intact ones), plastic weld it, and keep as spares. So in reality, 2 pairs of non GTR good indicators, 3 broken ones to play with, and a pair of GTR indicators cos I wasn't sure if I'd do a frontend swap at some point - I've got a pair of GTR guards lying around begging to go on, in the same colour code as the car (who knew 12 years ago when I got the guards I'd find a super rare KH2 to match them 🤣). When I was buying it I was thinking of moulding them and pulling copies of them for the community as aftermarket R32 indicators look super tacky. Brand new vents from the Nismo refresh line, cos some muppet at the port decided to try to pull my passenger side vent out and break it into a million pieces. And a pair of fake electric Mines style mirrors that came up cheap, cos I despise Ganadors.
  20. May have gotten carried away with some parts this Christmas. Finally arrived in the new year.
  21. https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/wiring_ecu.html Just finished reading this and am amazed at the things considered in professional race car wiring harness construction. Reading through it I was like "oh yeah, that'd prevent the fraying" or "oh now I get why the wire rotted" etc. Great read for auto elecs as well as enthusiasts. I'd kill to have even 10% of this in my harness.
  22. Welcome! You've effectively got an R33 GTR wagon, so most of those parts can come from an R33, which most Nissan spares can order for you in the US these days. Body panels will be hard, but the US has some of the best body work and trim shops if reality TV is anything to go by Sounds like you might have a remapped ECU, pop the carpet out under the passenger side and see if there's any tuning shop labels on the ECU, that's usually the easiest way to tell, or you might have to open up the ECU to see if there's any EEPROMs changed out etc.
  23. So introduce Toyota Kanban system for lean manufacturing to a lean manufacturing business?
  24. You can grind back fibreglass and resin and add more fibreglass and resin to alter its shape. To blend to panels you just use bog to smooth it out, bog material can have fibres mixed in too so they have similar expansion properties as the fibreglass and resin - that way they don’t crack or warp after being on the car for a while. I bought an R32 Golf bodykit for my MK4 GTI which was PUR, so to shave the indicator holes and remove the exhaust cutouts, I simply plastic welded offcuts from scrap PUR bumpers, then sanded/shaved it down to a smooth finish.
