1995 might not be S2 as there’s some early 95 that aren’t. Post a pic of your car and we can say for sure pretty quickly. You can get HID kits which replace the bulbs with higher discharge bulbs for more light output. 33 headlights also tend to go opaque from UV exposure, so cutting it back and polishing will also improve light output.

100% I’ll hack into the 33. Strap a turbo onto the RB25DE and/or put the 25 head on a 30 block. 33 passed in cos the reserve was too high. I’ll try lowballing it again and negotiate. Aim is to have it landed and on the road for under 15k, then spend the same amount on top in mods.

OK so I just bidded $500 on an R33 GTS4 that no one seems to want. Waiting on a call from the agent to see if I won. 32 GTS4 is for sale. I can't deal with the temptation to mod it.

TBH if they had brought it here and badged it a Pintara in 89, I'd have bought it. It's the spiritual successor of the R31 we developed, and not the Bluebird.

Yeah you can pick them up for $1000 now, good condition road going ones for $3000. They handle OK for a FWD and the power to weight ratio's not too bad. Great little nugget to get into racing, and shitbox rallying etc.

back when I had my Ceffy (auto RB20DET) I remember the wiring being a mashup of R31 GTSR and S13, and not really R32. It all made sense when I realised the Ceffy started production in 88 and the Skyline in 89. We ended up hand tracing a lot of it while trying to add an alarm/immobiliser etc.

I frikkin love that Hyundai Excel racing class. So much fun. Thank god for the roll cage. That could’ve ended very differently.

Hardest part is finding a bloody centre console for the manual that’s affordable. Someone will make a killing 3d printing those.
