Welcome mate. Post pics of your R33! Where in the east coast (assuming east coast cos of Celtics 😀) are you?
-
Why you takin pics of strangers cars mang?

From memory they’re just forged wheels made by BBS for Nissan. @Rezz now I’m gonna see if there’s any swifts running around with GTR wheels to buy back cheap.

100% I’ll hack into the 33. Strap a turbo onto the RB25DE and/or put the 25 head on a 30 block. 33 passed in cos the reserve was too high. I’ll try lowballing it again and negotiate. Aim is to have it landed and on the road for under 15k, then spend the same amount on top in mods. -

OK so I just bidded $500 on an R33 GTS4 that no one seems to want. Waiting on a call from the agent to see if I won. 32 GTS4 is for sale. I can't deal with the temptation to mod it. -
Might be there for work later in the year. Wouldn't mind catching up with you fellas - can't have too many beers, but will consume copious amounts of takoyaki while executing an asian squat on the side of the road while you blokes sort out your hangovers.

Yeah you can pick them up for $1000 now, good condition road going ones for $3000. They handle OK for a FWD and the power to weight ratio's not too bad. Great little nugget to get into racing, and shitbox rallying etc.

I frikkin love that Hyundai Excel racing class. So much fun. Thank god for the roll cage. That could’ve ended very differently.

Hardest part is finding a bloody centre console for the manual that’s affordable. Someone will make a killing 3d printing those.

Yes! I joke with my wife that it’s a fancy looking Honda Jazz. It’s weird where they cheaped out on plastics but kept the electronics fancy. B Class gearbox can eat a bag of dicks. It’s terrible.

According to @acsplit apparently the forum is being migrated from one server to another so should be back up and running once the migration is done. -
Google tells me that's a Japanese Rat Snake... 2m long? Man I think Australia has traumatised me to think all snakes are dangerous unless they're pythons. Also... "16 years later..." is that a record on SAU @PranK?

Thanks! Shame you got rid of yours. Guys are getting insane power out of them with the newer turbos these days instead of the venerable K04. Just jumped on Carsales and realised that my old Flog is considered low mileage due to it being parked up for close to a decade.

my current daily - BiTurbo Diesel SQ5 8R with a remap and some light cosmetic mods. Which is sitting in front of my old daily that hasn’t been driven in 7 years now, home to numerous redbacks no doubt. MK4 Golf GTI with a boser hood extension, air ride airbag suspension, factory RHD Xenon’s from the Japanese R32 and stubby electric mirrors (also from Japan) sitting on custom made 18x10” Work Meisters for the golf’s bolt pattern and offset. one day I’ll revive it as a project, pull the engine out, put some forged bits in, chuck a big turbo on it and tune it to somewhere around 250kw and call it a barn find to make millions off YouTube views. Till then, it is a good breeding home for redbacks and the boot is good for storing my Christmas tree for 11 months of the year.

To be fair this is the wife’s car. However, I have been accused of owning more cars than I have pairs of undies. Luckily I change my undies more frequently than the cars.

B180 went in for a service. Pretty comfy sled for carting two little kids around with every conceivable electronic gadget and option being an AMG Line. The roof is 10cm taller than an A Class, other than that it's near identical. But it makes a world of difference trying to load a toddler into a rear facing car seat. The lane departure pre-emtive braking shits me though, the number of times it's had a false positive and just started applying the brakes while driving cos it got confused by a reflective road after rain.

Didn’t think I’d ever see CarPlay in an old as hell R32! added a few spacers to the mounting bracket to make the unit sit flush with the shroud and gap free for a factory look. usability is good. Originally thought I’d need to move the aircon controls down and make a custom bracket, but it seems the head unit is still usable and I can reach it fine in its normal position. On ya Nissan engineers for thinking about ergonomics of a touch screen 30 years ago! -

No worries. Wow V37 with the VR30DTT is an amazing first car. Mine was a 80’s Mitsubishi Colt that I saved up for! Both my kids are still under 4, but the older one has started helping me while wrenching on the cars. -

Oh sorry Justin! I was racking my brain trying to remember names, not sure why I associated “Adam” with 7tune! I’m good, been away from Skylines for over a decade, got family and kids now. Just getting back into owning a 32 but it’s a whole different world now… tax is higher and tech is better. -
Wtf. $1000 for knockoffs? Tell em they’re dreeeeamin!

zomfg @Rezz! How've you been Adam?? Haha sadly yes it's going up for sale, just tidying it up a bit and modding it ever so slightly so I can still drive it to SAU events.
