yeah those stand alone units are a bit old hat. all you need is a crowbar, serial cable and a telnet client. I remember once the sign was changed to SHOW US YOUR TITS LUV hilarity ensued.

Oh forgot to mention, if you'd like a point and click interface to lame rather than fiddlign with DOS commands, then you should use RazorLAME http://www.dors.de/razorlame pretty much anyone that pirates music/video uses lame to compress their MP3's. A lot of software that "streamline" the process just use lame to encode in the background.

lame... its the industry standard. works in DOS, but is quick and very very clean (no clicks, pops artifacts etc). I usually use "-V 2 --vbr-new" for a 192 kbps variable bitrate compression. On a regular hi-fi system/car stereo you won't be able to tell the difference between it and the CD. http://lame.sourceforge.net/

its actually a trucking community (complete with monthly mags) that does the bling bling... and its pretty high tech too these days, with efficient LED and CCFL lighting. They take it quite seriously, and they go hand in hand with small workshops that work on bosozoku and drifter cars. Most of the truckies also have pretty close links to yakuza etc which makes for an interesting mix. Australian truckies ain't got shit on these guys. Wish more towies for sports cars would get into this stuf, I mean... you could go without the dismembering ADR defacating forward facing mods... but the vegas on wheels look... love it.

Hey guys, got some leftovers from the last HyperRev group buy that I have to get rid of as they're taking up space in the house doin nothing useful. Item: HyperRev Mags (Japanese) Age: New Condition: New, unopened, unused Price: $45 including delivery in australia, $40 pick up Location: Melbourne Contact: PM me on SAU or respond to this thread Comments: These are in Melbourne, ready to ship out the moment I receive payment. They're completely brand new with that awesome new book smell intact. The issues in the pics are the only ones I have atm, but if there is demand I might organise another group buy in the near future. They cost $47 delivered in the group buy, I went ahead and ordered these before I received payment, and then got shafted with non payers and late pullouts. So I've taken a $2 hit on the cost just so I can get rid of em. Will combine mags to save a few bucks on postage if you want. I'll let the pics do the talking:

Aircon Regassers In Melbourne That Use Hychill Hr12 Gas
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in Victoria
i paid $80 for my last flush, leak check and regas of hychill up in QLD. Also tested the minimum temps comin out of the R32, and with it set to FC (f**kin cold ) we went as low as 9 degrees. Was quite happy with it... in contrast the R32 I got after that was converted to R134a and it only went as low as 14 on FC. So the current R32 (yes I've had a fair few R32's) is getting redone with Hychill HR12. -
Fry's self storage in Bayswater is probably the cheapest in melbourne. 5.6 cubic m lock up storage for $55 a month. 11.2 cubic m for $100 a month. 16.8 cubic m for $125 a month. http://www.frys.com.au/bayswater.html

Only R33's I've heard of as full tune cars from Impul are the 533S ans the R33R. You do get badges n stickers etc with other impul products, like their wheels, suspension etc etc. Its kinda like Nismo.

lmao J-Spec poker night! You can see the silver widebody celsior right at the back, and the kakimoto R33 in the background. And in front of Ben's black smellsior is the maxima with hydraulics. You should see Ben's car after he got it repainted and retrimmed... it looks MUCH MUCH better. -
lol my old man still has the factory doileys with "cefiro" in lace, which my mum hand washes every fortnight for him. there's a grand total of 2 aftermarket parts in the car, one's the "magic stick" gear knob, and the other is a blitz filter panel in the intake box. everything else is showroom standard, including the optional BBS wheels. Got it with like 50,000 genuine k's (previous owner had it from new, and was in his 50's too).. now its rocking close to 130,000kms, and my dad services it religiously every 5,000 kms at Bel Garage with genuine nissan parts (cos he doesn't believe in aftermarket parts... don't get me started on that). Ben, one of the other guys at J-Spec got his mum a Ceffy about 3 years ago with a genuine 15,000 kms on it, with full logs and service history. Literally the car was used to go to the city from the countryside once a month for shopping etc, and from the house to the workshop.

true, I have to admit I'd be tempted to wear my undies on the outside and don a cape everytime I get in a car like that. fairly sure a tame version of it is gonna be in preodcution. -

Aircon Regassers In Melbourne That Use Hychill Hr12 Gas
funkymonkey replied to funkymonkey's topic in Victoria
yup. Series 2 R32's came with R134a systems, but Series 1's (all the r32's that came in as 15 year imports) had R12 systems, which cannot legally be recharged in Australia as R12 is now not allowed by the EPA. The HyChill Minus 30 (new name for HR12 apparently) is a substitute for the R12 gas, so it can be used to recharge your existing R12 system without changing anything over. Always a good idea to flush the sytem and check for leaks though. My car (and most 15 year old cars that J-Spec imported) had the canister removed and the system bled prior to being put on the ship from japan, so I'm assuming its simply a matter of having it recharged with the HyChill stuff. -
crap, think I got done speeding last night... coppers on the side of the freeway with teh gun in the construction zone. Do you still get a fine if they don't pull you over?
