im in Applecross i dont mind the drive at all, sometimes its just hard to get someone to follow me as far as mandurah and then drop me back when its time to pick it up Its cool. If i dont find someone in the perth metro in the next day or so I will just slowly do it myself. Thanks for the suggestions MarkG

understood..thats what im asking for someone to give the $$$ to that will do it right. I am not convinced that many audio places really do it right when its not their car. People tend to take a bit more pride in their work when its a cashie. Plus, $400-550 for labour on an audio install????? thats two quotes now. Bit steep for a bit of wiring up

I would prefer cashie jobs - I know Darren is neat, but from memory he is pretty expensive. Then again he lives 1 minute away from my parents house and 10 mins away from me, so its easy. gday Does anyone know a good car audio installer. Hopefully just a mate who does cashies or a decent priced business. I usually do my own car audio installs but do not have the time or patience lately, so I am looking for someone who does a tidy job and has sound knowledge. Its a pretty simple job, but as I said, Im over doing installs...especially in this weather. Any ideas who? Thanks!

anyway. You would want the 180sx to be at least a 92-94 before paying as much as 15k for one. Any older than that and it should have a bucketload of mods for that price. as someone said earlier. It depends on what you are after. If you are going to mod and change the turbo, go for the already modified. If you are not going to mod then go for the nice newer stocker..better resale value etc A car with an AVC-R on a stock turbo makes me extra cautious- who knows how much overboosting has been done. If you are going to upgrade the turbo anyway, who cares.

i personally wouldnt buy an import car from a dealership. in my eyes they are people with the capital and knowledge to patch up dodgy cars to sell for a good profit. I would rather take my chances and import, or search locally for a private seller.

Legal tint is 35% visibility . (cops can test this) If your interior is dark, an illegal tint such as 20% or 5% visibility will get you in trouble as the car will appear darker. That said, if your interior is dark then a legal tint will be complimented. I have had 5% (limo) and i got a yellow sticker. Illegal tint is more inconvenience than its worth. Mirror tint either comes in 35% (legal) or fully reflective. Fully reflective will get you done for sure. Apparently fully reflective is a bit annoying aswell because it can reflect from the inside making it hard to see out. Even with my legal reflective tint i was getting reflections of my dash on my side window at night time. I just got legal reflective tint done, and i like it much more than any tint i have gotten previously, although it costs $50 more.

the guy that did Zanda's is the guy i was referring to. Todd I just had my S13 done by him, reflective tint.. Looks the part. I will never go back to black tint i dont think. He did JiMiH's black tint nicely too
