  1. yes, because you didnt pay 500k for your house, yet you worked hard means you cannot afford to be in that area. WORK HARDER!!! It works the same way all over the world.
  2. oh god....you sound like a Triple J presenter. i like John Howard
  3. hah who hasnt got one of these haircuts now? mohawk and lines on the side.
  4. Well im happy to vote against and/or sign a petition - not that anyone appears to pay attention to petitions anyway. Im sickened by the fact that if I do accelerate hard up to the speed limit, in my import, that it could potentially be taken away from me (if caught). Whereas if I accelerated hard in my sh!tty corolla no-one would look twice.
  5. tomj: obviously its the type of work that doesnt require them to take the car over 3000rpm otherwise i wouldnt be doing it Discopotato: i never said it was a service. I especially dont fancy pulling out the gearbox myself and changing the rear main crank seal. I wish i could be there to learn how to do it, but i have a career of my own to take care of through the days Anyway...this was a general interest question. There will be times when I will go to get new tyres, or a wheel balance, or whatever and dont see the need for the car to be boosted. You can still get up to whatever speeds neccessary for testing whilst keeping under 3000rpm
  6. good luck. I gave him your number as i knew he was looking for a 32. Hes a top bloke, honest and will not waste your time
  7. hm..pic attachments didnt work so here goes.

  9. yeah i think i will just lower the rev limit and hide the hand controller under the seat. The cable is hidden pretty well as it is.
  10. mate you will find that if you were to import an 89 yourself with similar mods it would cost quite close to that price( keeping in mind tyres+rego+compliance+minor issues ). The headache and risk of importing is worth some money too. On top of this, R32's are not so common in WA (thank god) and due to the nature of supply and demand, prices go up. I think i have only seen one for sale in the autotrader/sundaytimes in the past 2-3 months. Car yards are selling one or two stock standard r32's for around 14-15k...but who trusts a car yard? sorry for contributing to the whoreage but i couldnt help myself. clean looking car with the essential mods! good luck with the sale.
  11. hah .. i know. I never thought i would buy one, but i did. I now have something in common with female uni students. It was good value for money and well modded for a silvia, so I gave up on the GTR. Not having a house etc makes it expensive to get a loan for a 15 yr old car like a GTR.
  12. Oh. I guess the software doesnt come with the PFC - workshops pay big $ for it?
  13. hah thanks again guys. Its a real shame it doesnt password lock. It must have been another aftermarket computer that I was reading about with the functionality.
  14. Thanks r33vit Its fine to just unplug the controller?
  15. Hi Does anyone know if the PowerFC has a password locking option? I have a powerfc with a handcontroller, but no manual... I want to drop the revlimit down to 2500rpm and password lock it before taking it to a workshop. thx
  16. haha ..*ring ring* "uhh hello minister? is your refridgerator running? " This stinks - shame they didnt do a public poll to see if they share the opinions of the rest of the community. As much as people dislike "hoons" im sure many would have seen this as an unreasonable solution.
  17. im with Lee. do what YOU think looks good mate. Half the people out there have no taste anyway. They just end up following what everyone else does.
  18. haha use macleans ...its a "full mouth paste" according to the tv ad. *spurt*
  19. if you fail i think the second visit is free. It was when I did mine anyway. (probably changed now)
  20. thanks Steve, had a chat - sounds like a top bloke.
  21. 1vea: up to 27ish.. all depends on condition and mods mate
  22. Hey mate, sent you a pm
  23. Thanks Butler, not a big fan of the 33 shape though, and dont have that much cash to throw around If i did i would buy the widebody 32!
  24. R34GTRs you can get for the $60k-80k mark i think, anyhow..we are talking R32
  25. Yeah they have been saying that for a while now. Im not holding my breath. Theres plenty of 89's and 90's over east, which i have considered, but I am not too keen on travelling interstate to discover some guys opinion on "immaculate" differs to mine. Pissed i missed GTRACERs , but i wasnt quite ready to purchase back then. His was exactly what im after. Thanks guys
