  1. So if I do a hard left the inside tires will do less distance than the outside tires then a km down the road I do a hard right everything will right itself (just kidding) I plan to get new tires for the rear very soon. LOL I am going on a trip this weekend so I will swap front to rear and see how it goes. Thanks for your help.
  2. Q I have the same tires front and rear only the front are new and the rear are almost had it. Would this explain why I get a slight surging feel after about a half hour of cruising on the highway?

The 9th car lined up after I had taken the photo. And a big thanks to those who gave me advice it was much appreciated. Cheers Phil

  6. Hi All I am not looking ford to working on the broken studs but it has to be done. I am hoping that the other 10 will come out easerly (If 2 are broken the others may be close to being in the same condition hence the reason for doing the lot). 8. Hi all I have a S1 until just recently all I had was a nice turbo whistle. What I had was a very loud sound something like a mettle Bering grinding away at high revs. It turned out to be the exhaust manifold. I had two broken studs and the manifold was loose. I tightened up what I could now we are back to just the turbo whistle. I am doing some work on the car the week after Easter so I will try to fix the two broken studs then. cheers phil
  9. HI I will be on my one so I will probably grab something from the BP and take it with me. I don’t know if any others are interested in the BBQ but I will still put in if this helps As far as the weather is concerned I am going to take sunscreen and a hat. That’ll chase the rain away Cheers phil

  11. Hi I have been runing 17x8 front 17x9 rears with 235/45 x 17 all round with no problum. The tyres will go on both 8" & 9" the only notisable diferance is that the rear side wall dosen"t stand straight up (drift stile) like the front and because your using the same tyre all round the roling diameter is the same. I had to role the lip on the rear guards just to be on the safe side Hope this helps cheers phil

  16. I am always up for a cruse Be good to catch up with old frends and meet new ones. I'LL be crusing from walloon. I'll see if i can rustle up a coupel extras here in ipswich. CRUSE 1 8 cars CRUSE 2 8 cars CRUSE 3 8++++
  17. I have Whiteline springs. Whiteline swaybars front & rear and apart from the back one being a littel narrow i had now trouble in fitting them. Whiteline caster adjusters front. Front & rear camber adjusters Bilstein shocks all tested at QLD raceway. The car was lowed to 350 all round. The difference between standard setup and Whiteline Bilstein setup was a big step in the right direction. The car has less than half the body role (evident by the video footage and feel in the car) and was 2 seckonds a lap faster. It still has under stear on turn in but from mid corner to exit it is peddel to metal. Swaybars in my opinion do littel to the suspension ( as in the ride of the vehicle) but have a big part in body role. my 2 cents worth phil

  22. Hi Sorry to bring up an old topic but i had my CV boot go on the drivers side so i booked it into a CV specialist to have both sides done (boots only as i had the magna done without replacing the joints with no problems 300,000k). He complained about it being a prick of a job as he needed to take the shafts out (Why i don't know) and after all that only did one so i have to take it back. Q. Do the shafts have to be taken out If so how are they held in. Thanks Phil
