  1. Good question actually, I am not no the committee, I would assume mid to late afternoon. Mastadd? Any advances on that?
  2. The cruise is not being organised by CSA as part of the nats themselves, so who can tag along is really up to the folks organising it.
  3. You can still enter the show and shine. You could turn up on the day but need to hit the site well before 9:00. Preferable would be to do an entry form beforehand. Are you local enough to come and enter at the sign in evening on Friday? And yes a show and shine only entry is $20.
  4. OK, all sprint entrants should get a phone call from the comp sec asking for this but if any have not had it could they please go here http://www.skylinenationals.com/Entry_and_...ls_12_09_10.pdf and download the sprint supp regs, fill in the formal sprint entry form and send it back ASAP. If you want to scan and email it (It might be best) send me a PM and I will send you and email address to send it to. For everyone who has already paid the entry, please cross out the payment section. This is only required for people entering the sprint part of the nationals.

  6. Cazz has been pretty out of her tree of late getting all this stuff happening as well as running a business, can you PM me your details and when the payment went through and I will follow up for you.
  7. Sent to you in a PM.
  8. I could not answer that one for you at this stage given that that infor comes in when people send the supp regs back. Also that is in the domain of the comp sec rather than me (I am the editor of the CSA magazine but I get co-opted for anything required to get the Nats over the line)
  9. Krishy, that would have been Brent? He is the comp sec. I assume that would be filling in the full entry form for the sprint (Which was held back until the supp regs that are attached to it were approved by CAMS) Which leads me on to your post Matty. The supp regs and formal sprint entry form are now available as a PDF on the Skynats website. Link here.. http://www.skylinenationals.com/Entry_and_...ls_12_09_10.pdf It would be preferable for these to be back with CSA prior to the event as the less of these we have to deal with on Sunday the better off everyone will be and the quicker we get out on to the track to have our fun.
  10. Nisskid, email the CSA presidents email address that is on the current entry form (I would prefer not to post it up on a forum to try to keep it out of the hands of spambots) and see what Cazz has to say. You may or may not be out of luck as it was pretty close to fully subscribed at last count.
  11. All. Watch this space with regards to sign in for sprint only entrants. I am on the CSA committee and am talking with the prez to see if we can come up with something suitable for sprint only entrants to sign in on the morning of the sprint which does not kill us with admin. Hopefully advice to come this weekend. Be warned that it is likely to come with a requirement to arrive EARLY at Mallala to allow us to administer it with time left for scrutineering.

  13. Hi nisskid, if you just want to do the sprint and the show and shine then you would tick the box for a sprint only entry at $165 and one individual entry to the show and shine at $20 so your total would be $185 between them. If you were not sure about the show and shine you could just enter the sprint for $165 and on the Saturday you can enter the show and shine for $5 to display it or $20 to display it and be judged. You would need to arrive and do that before 10:00 to allow for cars to be organised and parked.
  14. I am in for the show and shine. Mine only looks shiny from a distance! I am even tossing up if I polish out the marble marks from the Phillip Island 6 hour last weekend or present it as is with a wash.
  15. OK, I should have Rbware sorted now, if anyone else has missed out on an entry confirmation could they PM me about it so I can follow it up? REV-031, if you want to do it, just do it! There is no pressure at this type of event to go any harder than you want to, so if you just want to cruise around at a moderate pace and get a taste for it then there is nothing to stop you doing that.
  16. Hi Matty, I PM'd Rbware when he posted it up to get some detal from him so I have something to chase. I have not got a reply yet so presumably he has not yet seen it.
  17. The exact format of the day is being settled but things should start to happen on the track itself by 10:00 with scrutineering starting at your normal sort of 08:20. Supp regs and formal sprint entry forms should be gong out very shortly to those who have already entered the sprint on the main nationals entry form. The day will be a multi car supersprint format against the clock, not racing. Racing would exclude almost everyone who would want to enter as that would require a C level license not an L2S.
  18. OK, photobucket fixed. I re uploaded them with the same file names so the forms are still in Matty's post. This entry form is now uploaded on the Skyline nationals website so people should be seeing the same form from any current place to get them. I suggest using the form direct from the nationals website so that if any further changes are made you get the current form. I do not expect the form to change between now and the event though. http://skylinenationals.com/2010_Skyline_N..._form-final.pdf
  19. Just to be aware folks, there was a typo which I did not spot until late last night on the original form that I was given to begin redesigning it from (You can blame me for any problems) If you look, the two images from my photobucket account above that Matty has linked to show the wrong end date. This has been corrected in the PDF link but I will not be able to do anything about the photobucket ones until tonight when I get home. Any entries coming in from the JPG images with and end date of the 14th will still be accepted but I suggest using the PDF link, it will print more clearly in any case. There are also some pricing differences in there in the way things are grouped together. Nothing is more expensive than before and most "Packs" are a couple of dollars cheaper than the previous prices combined. That is to say it is slightly cheaper to enter with a full event pack than it is to enter the sprint and the show and shine and to buy a dinner ticket and promo pack seperately. Paul. EDIT, SemislickR32. No, if you have entered on the old form you do not need to enter again.
  20. Mods, having PC issues at work and double posted, could you delete this one please?
  21. Another place to have a look at is GMP in Huntingdale http://www.gmpracingproducts.com.au/home/index.php
  22. I recently pulled apart an R32 RB25DE box with pretty low kays on it as I had it in my track car, the box is smooth and quiet and everything worked nicely except that once it was nice and warm the top gear synchro stopped working. In a nutshell, while the synchro wear was within factorly limits, it just did not work when it was hot and different oils made no difference. I change dthe top gear synchro ring and it now works perfectly, the only problem is that now the other four feel tired comapred to it including the standard notchy shift from first to second. Someone mentioned that RB boxes are pretty well known for it, I would go further back than that, it is fairly typical of Nissan and Datsun boxes in general. So long as it is only noticeably notchy when it is cold I would just go easy on it and worry about it if the synchro gets batty when it is hot. I plan to pull my box down again later this year and replace the rest, along with having a look to see if I can swap the top gear with my other box, which is an R31 RB20DET box and has a shorter top gear ratio that is much more suited to track use.
  23. The F54 was the good non siamesed one. Most, if not all of the other castings have some siamesing between bores.
  24. You would probably have trouble with an alloy cage as they are simply not allowed any more. Basically the only cars allowed to run them are cars that were log booked with the alloy one in them and you would have to be able to produce the log book to prove it. I think it was in the late 90's when they banned them.
  25. It should! The problem last year was caused by a port that I had welded up in the plenum, the welder did not do a good enough job of it and a blob of alloy broke free on the back of the weld and went into #4. A head gasket and both manifold gaskets to pull the head off to retrieve it and it was back up and running a week later! I had initially thought it had broken a valve spring as it rattled and dropped a cylinder. A shard of alloy was keeping an exhaust valve open and the main bit was squashed flat between the head and piston. Here is hoping for a trouble free run this year.
