  1. I would assume for 216kws, he has upped his boost a lot, or it's a happy dyno (which is the word on the street for envy). But the peak power isn't really important, it's the delivery of that power and I'm sure now with a tuned ECU that you're happy as larry!
  2. I wonder if this Zed is also cursed... Or maybe it's you!
  3. It seems like everyone is muddying up the waters unnecessarily. Here's how I see it: We say a 3.9L 2 stroke engine is 3.9 Litres We say a 3.9L 4 stroke engine is 3.9 Litres Yet... We say a 3.9L Wankel cycle engine is 1.3 Litres? Both piston engines are judged and titled on their literage by how much air one chamber holds, timed by the number of chambers, making the number of rotations the crank shaft does irrelevant. This is a FAIR comparison. So why is it fair to say a 13B is 1.3 Litres when it hasn't even completed it's own wankel cycle? Every other engine has to complete it's combustion cycle to get the literage, so why is a wankel so special? In reality, it is a 3.9L wankel motor. Everyone keeps saying it's a different engine so it gets different rules. Well they're right. This rule says that it does 1080 degrees of rotation to complete it's combustion cycle. In comparison only, it's a completely fair thing to say. In motorsport however, I would pit it up against 2.6L 4 strokes, which is what some governing bodies have done.
  4. How much air does an RB26 ingest per 360 degree revolution? You better make a call yourself! My point here is that just cause something has done 360 degrees, it doesn't always mean it has completed 100% of its combustion cycle.
  5. Just so you know, here is an update on this. Guilt Toy actually MOVED to Georgia and is tuning cars. He may still do the internet tuning, but that's up to him. I suggest you send him a PM and ask him personally, he doesn't get on much more, he's a bit busy. Things you will need: Laptop Wireless stable internet connection Tuning hardware (for PFC that is a laptop, datalogit etc) a dyno/enough road to peak 3rd or 4th gear. Ironically, I just bought the Datalogit, and just for kicks, I think I'm going to get him to tune my car over the internet from Georgia
  6. so... 1.3L x 3?
  7. Man I can't wait for this... where can you pre-order it from at the moment?
  8. That's only on one side of the rotor. What are the other 2 sides doing at the same time this is all happening? 1 full cycle is exactly that, the time it takes for each side of the rotor to go through the 4 phases of combustion. This equates to 3.9L of air. It's the same as every piston going through the same cycle. Completely fair comparison.
  9. Also interested... if we're not, then I'll have to go on my stupid weekly cruise... which i might do anyway NO PROMISES!
  10. You only need the eye level light if you have a wing. the DUCK lip/wing is a lip and doesn't require a higher light. It's not called a drift wing. It got the name by people incorrectly interpreting D-Wing as Drift, when it means Duck. Also, those are the laws for NSW, but they are a pretty standard law. Go for a drive and have a look for cars that have a higher up brake light. I bet they all have wings or ar station wagons/4wds.
  11. I would buy any car that put out 3000 wanks per minute...
  12. ohhhh yeah... I totally don't count those as skylines, and there is no turbo variety, so everything he just said is null and void. His reason for buying non turbo is "There is no other option" So good for him.
  13. ^^^ This guy for president ^^^
  14. Why were you glad? And how isn't an N/A skyline povpack? It's far cheaper then every turbo of the same vehicle. I'm assuming you have a 34 GTS Why didn't you swap your N/A for a GTR? Insurance? Age? Too easy to break? I'm assuming you have a 34 GTS and someone wanted to swap/swap + cash for a 32 GTR, which is a broad spectrum. Don't read it the wrong way, I'm geniunly interested.
  15. Again, that's the problem with that logic (which you've already said in the same post anyway ). It's uneven and creates problems between the engine types. The MOST LOGICAL way to judge literage is for one full combustion to combustion cycle. In 2 strokes this is a simple down then up motion, for 4 strokes it's twice that, and for a wankel, it's completely different, but still measurable to a full cycle.
  16. Haha, I said the same thing in the members section... except instead of Mars, it was Xmen
  17. Combustion happens on each side of the 3 sided rotor, so each individual rotor has 3 combustion chambers.
  18. Mmmm yep true, I also explained it incorrectly. The correct way to say it would have been MAD082s way... Maximum capacity of each combustion chamber, times by the number of chambers. RB26 = 0.428L x 6 = 2.568L 13B = ??? I don't exactly know so I'm not going to guess... the ausrotor people seem to think guessing is just hilarious.
  19. fkn queenslanders are a bunch of pussies... we slept through that shit!
  20. Well there's another person... At least we've moved on from 1.3L, that's a good start. But it's still not correct. Your reasoning here would make an RB26 less then 2.6 litres. You have taken a moving item and stopped it, taken a freeze frame of the moment that it would hold (assumedly) the most amount of air at one time. Thanks to the differentiating strokes of the pistons in the RB26 engine (and any other piston engine) this would mean that there is NO SINGLE POINT that there would be 2.6L of air inside the engine. The 2.6L calculation is taken from one full 'cycle' of all the pistions, as is the 3.9L in the rotary. But I could be wrong.
  21. It was actually pretty funny... after he took the plates off he starts going, you know, I could defect you for this and this and this and that and this... and I was just like, no you can't... IT'S NOT REGISTERED. swiftly followed by a mega glare... ---->
  22. Meh, that wasn't a defect that time... that was the RTA de-registering my car for me without reason or notice... You'd do the same if some coppa took your custom plates off your car and then handed you a fine for $774 at the start of a long weekend! Thanks RTA... oh yeah, and then the cops 'lose' your plates for a week...
  23. Yeah we haven't had a single inbound phone call yet... It's kinda slowed down business quite a bit...
  24. ohhhhh you'se an asshole!
