  1. As per everyone else, I'd recommend them for a decent cheap tyre that handles OK in the dry. Probably about 6/10 performance wise, which at ~$550 for a kit of r17/235/45's isnt bad. Nothing to write home about with wet performance though...
  2. Location? I'm interested in everything for a manual conversion
  3. Brilliant, thanks guys
  4. Yeah, I was hoping for a model name. Not a big deal. Just one thing - it's secured as in the pic below. Does this make it legal in QLD? (a bracket to stabilise)
  5. Hi all, Just wondering if someone could help identify the pod in the attached pic? I know it's a Blitz but aside from that, I don't know! It was fitted to an R34 I have in compliance at the moment, I've just thrown it on mine this morning as it looks quite clean and in good nick. Thanks
  6. no more details on the vinyl paint? Can I get it off the shelf? Is there a recommended workshop in Bris for such work?
  7. I'm failing to see how it was legal with a hollowed-out cat
  8. I've driven both, and I'd take the Soarer over an R33 any day. Luxury and looks are what do it for me, aside from the aforementioned punishment the 1JZ can take
  9. Does anyone know of somewhere similar in Brisbane? I want to restore the factory panels (not CF). Is it difficult to do yourself?
  10. Really? What parts did you use? R33? Did you change the dash cluster at all?
  11. I've heard from a workshop that pulling down an engine that's lived a life of bp ultimate is far cleaner than optimax or non-premium fuels... not sure of the accuracy of this
  12. Yes the 2nd hand tyre king... pretty good in my experience
  13. This shows you how to get it all out http://www.r34gtt.net/r34howtoradio.html
  14. At long last, mine arrived
  15. How difficult is the wiring? I'm in Bris and am quite keen
  16. These would probably not have the sidewall strength for circuit use would they?
  17. JayMei: Will just the skirts fit at 34GTT?
  18. Yeah I meant semis... will throw out a WTB once the next r34 arrives and i have the wheels off her
  19. Seats are comfy, I'll get a pic of my misaligned logo on the back seat. Still haven't done door trims or handbrake boot yet - where does the time go?
  20. No chance of removing the wing! Looks much better on IMO My poor tyres are still having nightmares, but the rubber was free so no great loss (18" rubber ain't cheap tho) Guess I'll be keeping an eye out for advice on decent 17" slicks to run next time
  21. Would love to sell mine but need it until January for work at least... however, I'll have a silver one on the road in December if you're interested. 1998 ER34, 70000k's and nismo catback exhaust.
  22. yeah my poor streeters look as melted as a garbage bag in the oven semi-slicks already in the pipeline!
  23. i think we may have, will check!
  24. What an awesome day! Thanks again Paul, will definitely be keen for the next one!
  25. i'm keen to meet at jindalee Guys - can someone please confirm that AS1698 is OK? If not I'm kinda f'd :S thanks!
