I used to live near Adaminaby in the mountains, if you want an awsome drive, go via Cooma to Tumut, have lunch in Tumut and well there are a couple of options to return. Believe me, its an awsome drive, I used to hook up there in the olds Forester, soo much fun. Plenty of other roads around there, you could even go down to Thredbo from Tumut bia Khancoban for another awsome drive then back through Jindabyne and Cooma. That would take the whole day and some awsome driving, scenery and photo ops. I would be working that weekend, but whereis should show you the way.

Well I got all the pulleys and most of the stuff back on the engine today, but there are a few things missing, so we are trying to track them down. If anyone has a GTR stock oil cooler i can buy/ borrow please let me know, I think mine is about 2 hours away Tomorrow the diff will come out and go to southern diffs to get new seals and then I have to find someone to help me do the flywheel and clutch asap too, so i can get this thing in the bay. Its all plug and play from there basically. I want to get the engine in the bay sooner than later, so if anyone could lend a hand when the time comes, there would be beers/money involved.

They probly will now I have some of the Just Jap 25mm ones (4x114.3) and they seem pretty good quality. I bought 4 of them, but I cant use them on the front cos the inner hole diameter is too small for my hubs, but you guys shouldnt have that problem.

Get the lux, take it to Ray, pay the few hundred for the engineering and have sooo much fun with it. Im doing heaps of 4wding atm in the troopie, its a lot of fun. Good luck selling though

Good write up bud. Wish I had seen it before I satrted, but it saved me in the end. Ill add a bit for this. Im installing Sard 550cc injectors atm, for anyone who is confused on how to get the collars on properly, you need to remove the upper O-ring, slide the collar all the way up, then replace the Sard O-ring with the original (preferably new one) so as it seals the bucket at the top. You will also need to remove the rubber piece that is inside the "hat" so as it will bolt all the way down. Also, make sure you lube the seals with Vasoline, do not use oil as the seals will degrade from it. You will know if you pinch a seal from no lube, it will piss fuel all over the place. Also I had to use a impact wrench to get mine out, it was a last resort and even then, it was still rounding the screws to a degree, so for anyone having trouble doing it, prepare to get some replacements. Sard supply replacement hex items which are so much easier.

I may be towing the datto out depending on how i go in the next few weeks, so i may have the back of the troopie to put one. If the datto doesnt work and i cant be bothered towing, i definately will have it.

Yeh thats all im saying. I know how strong they are and that it probly wouldnt give way like that, but if anyone is considering making a substantial amount of power, then its worth doing the extra work. But for lower power and not much hard driving, yeh for sure its worth it.

Just remember that it only assists in changing the gears, at the end of the day, its still f**ked and you dont want the box giving way when you least expect it. Having said that, it does work well for its intended purpose.
