I agree with most points, but you cant say no dust! they are one of the dustiest pads ever! I have had a set on the rear, and just fitted set no.2 on the front of a 33 gtst and they are easily the dustiest pads i have ever used, friends using ultimates on other cars have the same issue. Doesnt bother me too much but they are a very dusty pad.

I used castrol LSX 90 in mine. Its approx $10/litre and it took less than 2L. Diff was silent before, and still is.

well the rear shim only comes to halfway down the piston, so the piston pushes the bottom/top shim at a slight angle, not straight. Bl4cK32, thanks for clearing it up, it just must be the way they are. they are not simply chopped down because they are all the exact same shape. I never had squeeling problems before with no grease etc applied. I gave the whole lot a clean up when putting the brakes back together and on the car today, including cleaning the shims and piston surfaces, applied no grease etc at all, and the brakes are perfectly silent, no noise at all, so i dont understand what causes the bad noise some others experience. I guess ill count myself lucky!

on a r33 the front disks use 9mm bolts to push them off, 9mm bolts are NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! i looked for hours at 7 different places for them, in the end a friend had a few that came with a pulley puller kit.

I removed the calipers and pads tonight. There is two shims on each pad, one which covers the whole rear of the pad, and has holes in it. The second shim only covers half the pad and has no holes. This is the one sits on top of the other shim. Is this normal? It does not seem right to me, as that means the piston has uneven contact with the shims, as one half is higher than the other.

Do they have pillowball tops? (alloy fancy looking tops) If they have pillowball tops i bet they are what is causing the noise, not any bushes etc. I know this because i had the same issue myself.

If you went to the effort of reading the first post you would know that the 3inch bolt on version does bolt onto a 3inch exhaust, but just the cat will not. Group buy is officially over anyway, but magic said its ok if u call them and say you are late for the GB they will look after you as long as its soon. KW depends on car and cat currently in use. Could be a few or many.

haha they used capitals for "Video evidence" now THAT SOUNDS SERIOUS be scared! lol anyway talking of stupid neigbours, when i had my birthday party, there was next to no noise that could be heard from the street and both neighbours were aware and cool with my party. A friend had parked his gtr outside my house, when he went back to his car, he found that someone had smeared human shit all over the door handle. thats what i call f*cked up! A neighbour across the street probably did it as when i came outside to say bye to another friend and he came out of the house and went crazy, his wife had to hold him back from starting a physical fight with us, he was drunk off his face at the time (real smart guy im guessing!) the story got even more interesting but im too lazy to type it all! Anyway, dont change your ways if you do nothing wrong, if they who complained had any sort of backbone or brain, they would have knocked on your door, and had friendly conversation with you to try and resolve the matter nicely rather than writing a stupid anonymous letter.

Boost controller is like brand new. It is less than one year old, and the actual control unit has been set twice and never touched again.
