  1. saw d00dz on southern cross drive coming towards the city out of the runway tunnel today at around 430pm i was coming the other way.
  2. if it has a mesh bottom it is not an 044, it is an 040!! check the pdf as well. look on the box, it cant be an 044...
  3. assuming he has stock 16inch wheels u can get decent rubber for $150 a friend recently got dunlop sp9000's for his s15 wheels from tempe tyres for $150 each fitted which was very cheap.
  4. the sock cant be sucked back in because inside the sock there is a spring hanging off the input pipe so it does not collapse
  5. u tank lol i am going to get smashed badly too
  6. yes the 040 is intank and the 044 is meant to be external but its fine to put the 044 in tank as long as u fit the standard sock as a filter details of all the bosch pumps attatched fuelpumps.pdf
  7. my 910 makes a groaning noise when there is about 12L left in the tank, and the car startsd surging when there is 5L left. when is starts making the noise it doesnt affect the pumping though. i think the noise is from vibration and touching the fuel tank. does yours touch the bottom of the fuel tank?
  8. they are 65L if u overfill a bit maybe slightly more as ben has found. light flashes when 15L left, light goes on steady with 10L left.
  9. what do people mean by tank? this always frustrates me. when i say tank i mean 50L this is when the light starts to flash, the gauge shows definetly empty and there is 15L left in an r33. when i fill up i work out my consumption exactly by comparing kms and litres gone into the tank (i usually fill all the way) anyway on the freeway i have done many 1000kms, and always got between 9.5-10L/100km.
  10. its finished he won, read the thread! anyway ive noticed some people reffering to his gtr as a 32, its a 33 as stated in the first post.
  11. congrats to u and sucked in to the small minded merc owner! it sounds like all u had on him was the launch and gear changes though. im happy that u actually went through with it and it wasnt all talk, although i thought you would go to the drags to make it more official with timeslips!
  12. saw MAR55S and the previous owner of my car (now has gtr) in the fox studios car park, last night at around 8pm. also saw a brand new f430 convertible start up and hoon out of there that was nice
  13. no, but i sent u a PM
  14. only cat back exhaust left, $550
  15. 1. COST $450 is the standard fee for a full retune not including adj cam gear. 2. Mods you have done (mechanical mods not stereo mods) exhaust, fmic, exhaust cam gear, powerfc, fuel pump, bleed valve, splitfire coils 3. Where u did it unigroup engineering sydney 4. How long it took dont know was not there 5. Comments i am extremely happy, i have waited a long time to get a retune due to several circumstances.... the car was tuned somewhere else with the same mods previously, as was lacking power and running extremely rich. when i took it to unigroup they ran it without any changes and it pulled 155rwkw, when finished tuning peak power was 186rwkw, the car was making more and more power over the previous tune from 3500rpm and upwards, and the range of producing power was moved from a max 6500rpm to approx 6900rpm so now pulls nearly to the redline instead of dying off. peak power was at approx 9psi, boost was 10psi dropping to 9-9.5psi higher in the revs.
  16. that will usually happen when there is already a crack in the windscreen. it must have had a very small crack that you would not have noticed before, and the heat has unfortunately made it bigger
  17. they wont fit r33s, the rear shocks on r33s use bushes like the front ones on yours
  18. i understand all of it and its really gay thats just boring, merli, by your logic, i must still be sane unlike you
  19. ok thanks for the info, i will have a read although sometimes i find it hard to take information on forums seriously, especially on serious topics as its a lot of the time uneducated(on the topic) peoples opinions, and just rubbish they have heard from a friend etc. you might be interested in watching two documentaries which are related, in case you have not heard of them: the oil factor the end of suburbia
  20. i would say its not hyped at all, and not nearly as much as it should be. noise, why do you say its over hyped?
  21. the only thing the kit comes with as opposed to just the filter i believe is a metal bracket to hold the pod up. i bought the kit and was dissapointed that this was the only difference when i could have got just the filter which bolts straight up. so with the filter it will bolt straight up, it comes with a paper gasket that u put between the afm and filter. if u dont have a bracket for it u will have to make one (easy)
  22. yes i worry a lot about it, especially after watching a couple of documentaries about it recently.
  23. dammit i just realised its the same weekend that i will be there! i will be in in the state that weekend and near canberra on sunday, i want to come but not sure if i can make it.
  24. well i would say far from eaiest i mean most small 4cyl cars u pull off the coils or leads and there u go, with rb25 u have to pull a whole lot of crap off to get to them. although i leave the coil cover off so i can get the coils and plugs out without touching the intake piping but still a squeeze!
  25. i had my last set in for less than 7000kms, changed them yesterday. they were not completely stuffed but the car was idling rough for about the last 1000kms. i changed them with another set of coppers and right away the idle is now perfect again, and at low revs there is less vibration. so i guess their life depends on how picky you are.
