  1. i spotted jett (wreakedhead) on the weekend about 8pm driving along george st
  2. im going to see how the finances are, and maybe show you all how us evil p platers do it
  3. go to eagle tyres in granville they have good prices.
  4. they are not cheap (new) at the moment uas (www.nismo.com.au) have one for $550(apparently super special price) brand new. otherwise u can get whole clusters for a similar price but used.
  5. got that thing back 1.5 weeks ago, hence the replacement skyline just in time for christmas
  6. sell it now! 180s are fast but low rent
  7. various stuff from family and friends, but most importantly, i bought myself i new series 2 gtst yesterday
  8. once again, thats dirty man. btw. i have not started my beer appreciation yet. i tried one girls beer (stella) and was having trouble at the end of it. i needed a shot of bourbon to wash it down with but was going to be late for work.
  9. thats dirty man grog-bog
  10. ill have the shits if they ban p platers from wsid. ive been waiting like 10 months to buy another car and run some (hopefully under 15 second!) times with a new whale.
  11. i share your greatest fear. although my r33 was keyed once.
  12. i would say their whinging is pretty reasonable. if i was older and say had a family i sure as hell would complain about p platers. and more importantly the government which is the source of all these p plater problems. imagine the worry every time u let a family member borrow a car when u know they have a statistically high chance of getting wiped out. (i am a p plater.)
  13. just dont do it. if you want an interesting gearchange (and plenty of interesting things happening to your clutch/gearbox/engine) just try changing gears very fast without lifting off at all (flat shifting like some others have explained) its best if you try it in someone elses car, such as a hire car
  14. i had a skyline when i was 18 and on red Ps and had no problem with police or killing myself. It was actually my second car. i just got a tracking alarm, and third party property for $660 from just cars. if you want one and have the $$ get it just be careful anything can pop out on the road in front of you (including police) its best to take part in a defensive driving course, which is usually an eye opener for an inexperienced driver.
  15. (not having a go at you) BUT it always annoys me how some people buy imports and believe the kms.. the kms on imports is complete BS, and i think everyone knows the deep down but for some reason still tries to believe that their car is a rare low km example. fair enough a car is in good condition, which is how it should be judged, not by the japanese wound back kms. if the car hasnt been wound back in japan importers buy higher than average km cars for cheap, wind them back and sell them for a premium here.
  16. i believe that most people have a budget of of no more than about 18 grand for a series 1, at your lowered price if you advertise in the trading post you should get some interest.. with a budget of 20grand or more people are really looking to buy a series 2 i would say. i sold my series 2 about 10 months ago in about a month, buyer came of carsales and paid 22 grand it was pretty stock..
  17. i believe r32 gts4s came in turbo, but in r33 they did not come turbo (not 100% sure though) RIP but as someone else said.. why????? i have been looking forward to buying another(second) r33 for ages, and now that i am ready to buy, all of this stuff happens!!? i will still buy, but will not look forward to being public enemy number 1.
  18. the difference is that the intake wheel (compressor) is nylon instead of steel which makes it lighter and (apparently) more responsive. all r33s have ceramic exhaust wheels. r34s also have ceramic exhaust wheels and a nylon compressor wheel like the series 2 r33s
  19. i experienced that too. people only want to race when they know they can win.. i used to have a swift gti before my gtst and heaps of people always wanted to have a go all the time.. lots of stupid civic ppl got owned.. anyway, when driving the gtst barely anyone wanted to have a go, the only one i remember was a wrx ( i thought i was gonna get chopped it was a modded rex and my gtst was pretty stock and even a stock 99 can chop a stock gtst) which i kept up with side by side. (on a private road)
  20. those offsets are more for gtr than gtst are they not?
  21. wow it sounds like that politician actually has a clue.
  22. i got mine from just cars when i was 18 for my r33 fo $650 so i doubt it would be as high as 900. you have to tell them details for mods, i had exhaust suspension wheels stereo etc.
  23. 265s are usually meant for 9.5-10inch rims so yeah too small for 11inch dish always looks good on gtrs
  24. a friend had a problem with a malpassi...changed to a sard (most solid looking) and didnt have any problems
