  1. i think you will find lots of threads like this on all the forums... it seems like he sometimes dissapears and doesnt answer to anyone, even customers that have paid for goods and are waiting.
  2. trust33, i think you might have got the wrong impression, read the threat again properly since he has no convictions for the last 8 years, he would be on his full licence, so most definetly not lose his license. he would accumulate 6 demerit points, and $416 in fines. (more than 15 but less than 30km/h over)
  3. If i were you i would: 1.write and appeal to the infringement processing bureau 2.if you dont get off then fill out the court election what will happen really depends on the magistrate, even if you did have a speedo you shouldnt have been going 128, so i dont think that not having a speedo matters too much. i believe that although you could just pay the fine and take the points, that you should take it to court. Especially since you have a good record for a long time (8 years!) i think the magistrate will take it easy on you.
  4. 10psi will definetly make a difference, if you run higher ie around 12 or 14 you will find a even more of an improvement but not as drastic because the stock IC is too restrictive. The stock cooler also heats up too much faster with so if you run high boost and are not moving fast or its a hot day u will lose power after a while (not heaps but noticeable) U wont harm the engine, more likely to kill the turbo so dont worry about the engine.. i ran upto 1 bar for about 7 months with stock cooler and catback (had a air leak didnt realise) the car lost a alot of performance when i put it back to stock boost and yes about 7 is stock boost but with turbo back exhaust it would be probably around 8psi.
  5. Their engines live a 1/4 mile at a time :Pimp:
  6. I fixed it for you.
  7. if the hire car was manual, i would be pretty excited to drive that too if you know what i mean
  8. Ed i see your logic, maybe he fitted a jet engine to his wrx (facing forward) so he could each 155 going backwards.
  9. I think NXTIME is the winner here... definetly :Owned:
  10. i lost my license for 6 months, went back to the rta to renew it, they told me it was a 'double whammy' because i had also exceeded my demerit points limit, so i walked out with another 3 month suspension!!!!!!!!!!!!!! had to sell my skyline! getting license back in two weeks though.
  11. your right, it must have been a skyline then
  12. true! at least it wasnt a p plater otherwise it would probably set off a current affair bitch fest about turbo cars and young people...
  13. Morgs u got it! he must have been going northbound unless he decided to go 155 over the bridge AFTER getting pulled up at that exit..
  14. no both wrong its something else.
  15. It doesnt make sense to me, can you pick whats wrong? Caught doing 155km/h on Harbour Bridge:boobs: November 1, 2004 - 1:18PM:boobs: :boobs: The licence of a 25-year-old man, caught driving at 155km/h on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, would be automatically suspended, police said today.:boobs: :boobs: The Epping man was southbound on the 70km/h bridge in a Subaru WRX about 2am (AEDT) today when he was spotted by highway patrol officers, a NSW police spokesman said.:boobs: :boobs: The police said the car was clocked at 155km/hh and was stopped near the Willoughby Road exit.:boobs: :boobs: The man was charged with driving at a dangerous speed and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h, and will have his licence suspended.:boobs: :boobs: AAP :boobs: :boobs: :boobs: :boobs: :boobs: :boobs:
  16. just cut the wire and dont worry about it, its been roasted by your turbo anyway
  17. what date?
  18. Hey, so it even had stock exhaust? thats a good time, im sure the 7+ grand launches help but i dont believe it gained 22AWKW by removing the boost restrictor. and its not really stock anymore because it runs an extra ~2psi boost.. I would believe it if it had an aftermarket exhaust. i say this because a friend of mine has a dead stock r33 gtr, (motor is in good condition) and just for an experiement about 2 months ago we removed the boost restrictor, took it for a drive and it seemed to come onto full boost harder, but not much of a power gain overall. so we suck it back in, and put the lack of extra power down to the stock exhaust being a restriction. on another friends gtr, when it only had a full exhaust, it made a big difference when the boost restrictor was removed.
  19. i knew that all the teams are secretive about the specs of their cars, and was surprised when i saw the revs on the screen, you have just resolved that issue for me! i knew they would never reveal their revs
  20. In artarmon go to Lambs road auto and speak to ray....they are honest and upfront... been the family mechanic for like 20 years.
  21. lwells, i agree from the front the look good, from the back they look bad. i saw one dropped on those multispoke bmw wheels, 21inches, looked good from the front..
  22. Different teams use different rev limits depending on track/engine longevity etc.. so there is no set limit, but most teams run betwen 17000 and 19000 depending on the track. if u watch f1 lately you would have seen they show live telemetry on the screen that shows speed and revs... pretty good to watch the revs rarely drop below about 13500 in most races.
  23. role reversal eh instead of the japs stealing euro styling its the other way around, bmw stole hyundai accent styling for their 3 series
  24. i reckon this new 3 series looks korean from the back as well. i rekcon the three previous models were better looking. i also think the new 1 series hatch looks like a mazda 3 (not a bad thing but still!)
