From the article: If the law was changed, one of those affected would be 19-year-old P-plater Steven Bolder, an apprentice carpenter who is paying off a $35,000 V6 Holden ute. He admits to occasionally exceeding the speed limit but disagrees with proposed vehicle bans. "It's a heaps bad idea – shocking!" he said. "I got it up to 180 going down to the snow, but I never drive silly," said the Maroubra local. However, Mr Bolder admitted the Government might be doing him a favour by introducing bans. "They could be saving me," he said. all i have to say to that is WTF!!!!!!! is wrong with that newspaper. they go and choose the biggest bogan they can find to get their interviews. discopotato03 - i would say most young hoons will go fast in slow cars too (ill admit to driving many 'slow' cars fast) the rule would even stop young drivers from driving commodores FFS! good luck getting people to stick to that law. then again, i guess they will make good money out of it.

What cat back exhaust would you buy if you had $1300
siksII replied to craz0's topic in Engines & Forced Induction

siksII replied to Ceffo's topic in New South Wales
most definetly in fact more or less anything is a defect. -
get twin low mounts, gtss's, 2530s or N1s the only big turbo car ive been is a gts-t with a t67(large exhaust housing).. that car had stock internals and pulled 340rwkw on about 1.2bar... anyway it had cams a/f int plenum, flowed head etc came on full boost about 4500 but had useful boost at around 4000... the car wasnt that good for everyday useable power.. lots of top end.

siksII replied to craz0's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
1300 is way too much money to spend on a cat back, i would not buy one at all. instead i would buy a xforce stainless steel turbo back exhaust system. u can get them for 950 (not delievered, add about 70 i think for delivery)) including hi flo cat and muffler with adjustable silencer. -
i would be interesting in purchasing it for a decent price, which is why i came here in the first place, but all the buyers bs has put me off, plus the fact that he seems to be selling these for profit, not private sales, (explains price) in which case i would buy one from a shop anyway. so ok since im not interested anymore i wont be coming again

Gtr Gearbox In A Gtst??? Is It Possible??
siksII replied to 85URK's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yep thats right the compliance plate will tell you, the japanese one does not have the date of manufacture on it so dont bother looking at that also its not a series 2 if it does not have 2 air bags, and a different interior and steering wheel to yours. -
2 way Psi switch - Wot is the lowest psi setting available!
siksII replied to Boostn247's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
dont let her drive it, dont be so whipped or u will be sorry when either ur car blows up or u lose the car or her. or else yes rev limit her to 3 grand and see what she can do with that -
its not a fair comparison. fair would be stock for stock.. and even then i dont think its fair, they should compare say the new 4 seater ferrari to the gtr, that would be fair, they are both 4 seater hardcore GTs(sort of)...

Thinking about buying a porsche
siksII replied to Veilside R33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hey, 944s came out in non turbo. if you really want an old porsche get a 944, later models are nicer but a lot more than 5 grand! they were regarded at the time as a very good car. only buy it if you are prepared to spend lots of time and probably $$ on maintenance if u drive it around a lot. -
what year and how many kms on the clock?
-
well then u would probably have to go to the building society it would probably actually be processed by either commonwealth or westpac so you might be able to go to one of their branches. best to just look up which bank it is by asking a branch to look up the bsb they should know. the only actual banks in aus are anz, wbc, cba, stg, bwa, rba. all the building societies and stuff like that are actually processed by one of the large banks.

Gtr Gearbox In A Gtst??? Is It Possible??
siksII replied to 85URK's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
it woudlnt be worth it as internally they are similar and also the housing of a gtr gearbox if different, as is the floorplan of a gtr, so you would be stupid to fit a gtr box into a gtst it would be difficult and expensive. also to clear some things up the 40th anniversary edition r33s were also sold in 1998(not sure if they were sold in 97, all the ones i have seen are 98 models) if your friend has not got the correct front bar, it cant be a 96-97-98 model because the series two bar does not fit flush with the headlights on a series one. your car would be a later 95 model, with the hi rise series 2 spoiler. to check when his car was made just look at the australian compliance plate, it will state when the car was manufactured. -
So if cost price is 1100 then why can i order one for $1169 http://www.techoni.com.au/product_info.php...products_id=451 or even 1069.95 + $(12+gst=13.20) = 1083.15 from expansys (http://www.expansys.com.au/product.asp?code=115166) wow that one must be a bargain its BELOW COST according to u. both local so no overseas shipping or other BS So it looks like im not a time waster, and you are asking too much, as MrFlex pointed out. good luck getting your $1500 for it.

yeah if it was other bank thats how it always has been if u want to take money from your account, say a NAB account, and give it to someone with a CBA account, they best way is to take out cash, walk to the nearest CBA branch, and deposit it there. or even better do it through internet banking. i didnt realise you meant complete other bank i thought u meant just a different branch of the same(surprising if it was the case)
-
lol i think i might be in the same situation in two weeks, lack of memory.
-
depends on which bank though. but yeah it is dodgy, but there is so many mistakes in cheques and credits it makes things slow and difficult to process so i guess just be more careful...
-
yeah next week is my last (hence being screwed with exams and assignments) so after that is alco catchup time. i have a 21st this weekend(bad because exams) and a 21st the weekend after my last week as well so that should get me started.
