Just followed the tute at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...-s-t113284.html to attempt to fix my afm's (intermittently dies under acceleration OR when im cruising at a constant speed and need to wack it with a torch to fix) My solder connections seem fine, putting a bit of pressure on them no movement, and they look fine.. fresh even ( sum1 else has pulled these apart) Was just wondering if it matters that i'm missing the yellow cover for the AFM circuit board? (just in case it acts as a ground or smtn, not the outer black cover) thanks, Also, is there anything else that can go wrong that i could check for? A dirty sensor wouldn't cause this would it? I have already re-wired about 40 cm of the wiring going into the AFM (i was moving it and it was stuffing up randomly) but that didn't fix it, and only hitting it fixes it so i would think that'd rule out a sensor problem pics enclosed

+1 for your definition, thats exactly what it is.. You can get done for street racing at the moment even if you don't exceed the speed limit but accelerate quickly to it ffs

ohhh it's a NSW thing, phew... still seems more sensible to sell the cars and use the money to make better roads >.< eh wat "Offenders would have to be convicted of street racing before the vehicles could be destroyed".. only once?! I've had cops try pin street racing on me in my corolla next to my mates skyline ffs (my wheels slipped.. fwd sucks), 1 offence = broken car = sucks

I think it's stupid.. If the police were going to take possession of my val or my gtr to crush it i think i'd have a bodily spasm, and boot it off up the freeway, where inevitably i'd total it or be pit maneuvered.. or make it to mexico.. Laws like this do discourage "hoons" but.. on the other end of the scales, high speed pursuits are gonna increase alot when cops try to take the cars off "hoons" hands

My current AFM is having problems, i re-did the wiring from about 40 centimetres bcak (car dies sometime when i play with them) then realised it has to be the afm not the wiring.. Wacking my AFM with a torch fixes it temporarily so WTBorrow, 32 GTR AFM, stock one.. Save me buying one and it turning out to be something else, preferably north or eastern suburbs of melb, or inner city but probably just take any opp that i get, will need it for around 2-3 hours Cheers, Kieran

Ah ok damn, was hoping to slowly install supporting mods until i am ready for the turbo's, looks like ima have to start buying them and shelving them till it's all ready to go on and get a tune thanks dude

From what i understood you will need to get the 2560 in the -7 trim to get that power?? (i'm looking at the same turbs)

ah crap didn't know they had a different model afm, thought you just needed to adapt the inlet So 2 z32 nismo afm's will run fine without a tune? Also.. they sound expensive is there a cheaper option i can run 350+- through? the word Nismo scares me, don't want to pay $500 each for the afm's hehe.. Cheers

Just wondering if an r32 gtr will need a remap if i put 2 z32 afm's on it... If it won't then what about 1? I'm planning on 350kw+- later on so don't want to have to get it tuned twice and will just replace the broken afm with a stock one if it will need to be tuned.. but would be handy if 1 z32 would run ok with the other stocker as it would save me $.. i have read that rb20/25's need to be remapped/chipped if u want to run z32's cheers

Meh, i wouldn't be overly worried about what you say on a public forum, alot of people here talk shit, anyway so not like anything will hold up if the cops come after u ^^ wish gtr's had a bigger speedo, nismo ones cost heaps and i hate the crappy 180km/h top on it.. even my mums golf reads optimistically 260 ^^

Are we talking LS2? Supposedly most of the SS series with the LS2's hit 13.6+ - so it would probably eat you.. with light mods like that you might be looking at a 14 flat with a good run.. i've seen one of the new r8's munch a gts-t running 220rw, those ls2 commo's aren't exactly slow

just thought i'd complain!!! My stupid car stopped making the noise this morning (even though it's hot) i taped up the afm so it'd stop messing up, and even though i drove the car for 30 minutes when i arrived at the mech's it was still quiet (no noise) i guess that rules out bigend hehe.. having a comp and co2 test done though just in case.. Results came back as almost perfect for both.. mech said they have sorta noisey lifters and i was probably just freaking out, also said engine was in perfect nick which i'm happeh aboot, now i can mod

Game looks off tap, especially in the scenes when everyone is talking, faces look real as, my pc runs it ok on medium graphics and can sorta manage on high but, definitely will need a new graphics card to use FSAA and high res on medium, high/very high settings (i ran mine on medium with 1024X768 and high on 800X600 high was pretty laggy at parts) Only problem is the crosshair.. when u zoom if you have iron sights instead of accuracy sights selected (default u do) it's really hard to shoot, even if u line up the little aim thingo on the gun

Hey, will any Radiator Cap fit on my 32 gtr? or are there different sizes etc? (will get one from BP or off my corolla) i have to drive the car to the mechs tonight and don't want all my water/coolant leaking out on me and just need something to get me there and back cheers
