After 18+ years the starter has given up. The actual motor goes round but the bendix does not engage.
It is the RS4 that has an FFP fitted. Is there any way of getting to the top bolt without having to take the plenum off?
HELP!

An ebay special 42mm will do the job for most daily drivers.

The RS4 had an extinguisher fitted when I brought it in but the complier took it out.

Not only an FMIC but also a tranny cooler. I had thought of putting in an oil cooler but I have a remote oil filter also and it would have been a PITA to fit. The alloy rad fixed all.

I have gotten a side light. Just need a P/S head light.

Now the alloy rad is in, no more gurgles.
Where it ran the oil temp to 110+ it does not get to 100I am a happy man.

Off topic, but, I nearly bought a Prince Skyline GT from Teddy Lee back in the early 70's. But it had too must cancer.

Need P/S head light and D/S parker.

Clearly a while since I stuck my head under the dash! Switch is on your side of the brake pedal lever so would need to be out of adjustment to be stuck on. Still plug to disconnect (if necessary) is reasonably accessible (or better still get a young fellow to do it)!
You are right. Need a midget to get under. I think 75 is a bit too long in the tooth to do all this.

Been working on the Dayz for a while but have not been anywhere near the stop lights. Both the upper and lower. All of a sudden they come `on as soon as I connect the battery.( I dont have a spare battery so jump the RS4) the stop lights come on. All switches are off and releasing the hand/foot brake does SFA.
Any ideas please?

Yeah just Lapsed on my insurance so can't claim on that. This is going to have to come out of my pocket
When the 25G got smashed I had Third Party Fire and Theft Cover with NRMA. Because I had it taken home and I stripped the front down to get a quote to fix Nrma said the Insurance was voided.
Guess who has changed ALL Home, Car and CTP to RACQ>

A while back an idiot reversed into the 25G with a bloody great 4WD with tow bar. Repair bill was $4k He would not pay. Took him to court and he agreed to pay $3k at $50 a week. He made one payment then no more. Back to court and got an order for him to pay the $4k. Got nothing.

Depends how much you want to spend. New regulations make it difficult to comply 250s so all newer ones tend to be 350s which have the same power as the 250 turbos. For example TradeMe auction 83300352 a 350 with 67K for $11k
250s are to be had from $5k but it may pay to look for one that has had the $2k cam chain replacement job done!
Interesting about the cam chain replacement. When does it need doing? I ask this because my original RMR30 did 600ks and was never replaced.

Noticed some heat shield in latest Repco cattledog. Has anybody used this? Have put a high mount on the Neo and want to protect the bonnet duco and especially the clear coat.
