  1. thanks dude in the one skyline ive driven hard that ive changed from normal way to reverse it felt as there was a small gain.. the rest of them havent had aftermarket fmics on them before ive done the piping except for this silvia.. however im licenseless and its unregistered.. so i havent driven it except up the driveway to were it sits now my theory is it gives the hot air a better chance of cooling down before it reaches the intercooler with the longer pipe and as for the cold air coming out of the intercooler its a shorter pipe so it has less chance of heat soaking as much not to mention running a pipe with supposely cool air straight across the farken radiator is bloody stupid.. its basically just common sense
  2. 1.6mm 304 stainless is wat i generally use however on that the 2inch(hot) side of that piping is 316 due to supplier having no 304(luckily he did them for same price) and the 2.5 side(cold) is 304 i use the same stuff for all the work i di weather it be intake pipes, intercooler pipes, exhaust systems(except manifolds i'll use steam pipe when i have someone want me to amke one)
  3. thanks fellas no its not my car.. just one i did the piping on much much easier with thermos mounted like that for rb s13's
  4. piping job i just finished(all the piping anyway) before the "here" points to were it was rubbing with the cheap china r32 kit NOT designed for a silvia with a bloody rb20 in it.. dodgy South australians. after cooler mounted properly.(wish i had of got pics of how dodgily the cooler was mounted before) new piping and pictures of the new piping all fitted up properly. will finish putting headlights and a different front bar on tomorow.. will more than likely put up a pic after i get it 100% back together
  5. it may be a skyline "shell" sitting on top of a tube chassie.. theres no way in hell it'd fit in a standard skyline chassie
  6. i think it might be that fitting you mentioned.. have you got the old banjo bolt? if so take the banjo bolt and your oil line down to enzed and explain wat you need.. surely they'll have something there btw.. employ a new fabricator. that modification to manifold is bloody disgusting and would not suprise me if the manifold cracks/leaks/snaps off were you have modified it for the gate and also at a educated guess you will have shitloads of dags hanging inside the manifold which could restrict flow to the gate unless its been cleaned up properly.. which i doubt.. im glad the photo quaility isnt the best
  7. 1, front is for FPR back is for standard boost gauge 2, for that big f**k off thing thats under the standard plenum.. to tired to think of its name 3, water return that runs around the back of the head (there is also one running to the front) make sure you replace that bloody piece of hose with a nice new quaility silicon item.. they are an absolute bitch to change while in the car. 4, i cant remember i'll have a look sometime tomorow 5, get a picture of it.. i have a feeling your talking about the water feed tho also little bit more info on wat your tryin to setup could help possibly
  8. someone went a bit overboard with the ultrablue
  9. yah.. the nissan march superturbo.. i want to track one down as a daily driver.. all 930cc 108hp in a car that weighed barely 700kg..
  10. been done many times. pm shanef on here.. he can supply billet adapter plates
  11. could it possible be fuel pump not being able to keep up? as the power does get better down low with more boost.. than hits that 160kw wall.. and just levels off
  12. thanks not quailited just done alot and lot of work with in the metal industry as a labourer.. did start doin an apprentiship as a boily however i have umm how do you say it.. problems with authority lol the piping jobs i do are more of a hobby and to help people out who have been quoted stupid bullshit prices for the work.. would probaly look at it more as a business adventure however theres just not enough work for it up here and not many people want to pay for a top job.. they'd rather spend 3/4 the price for a cheap shitty chinese supposely "bolt on" kit..
  13. more info on the current setup would help with giving advice..
  14. i generally dont use the gaskets for turbo to dump.. never had any problems providing the bolts are done up tight enough but yes the one you've pictured will work and looks like a standard gasket
  15. i prefer the standard plenum on most setups.. just have to run intercooler piping in reverse.. dont mean to hijack the thread.. this is a 32 gtst ive done silvia im half way thru
  16. +1 for the VFT torque setting.. the highest torque setting ive seen on any import that was legit is 300NM for 1 of the bolts in the subaru 6speed gearbox.. subaru supply there mechanics with a 3/4inch torque wrench that can do up to 600NM for that 1 bolt... f**king awesome tool!
  17. i'll put up picks in the next week or so of the 2 rb20's ive done ic piping one.. im in the process of doin fmic piping on a rb20 silvia at the moment.. after thats done i'll try get pics up im not actually a fan of that style of ic piping with the factory manifolds but looks ok.. be sure to put up pics once you've finished.
  18. you talking about the intercooler pipe off the plenum or you talking about your stainless pipe off the AFM
