  1. glad to hear your problem was sorted!
  2. we also sell super sparks and they will be available for series 2 soon.
  3. what do you need done?
  4. looks like it will take some convincing before super sparks are taken seriously. I will have a discussion with Super Spark and Competition Tuning and Performance and do up another independent test run and report the findings.
  5. boost leak test is where I would start.
  6. INFOMERCIAL WARNING you are correct, Splitfires wont make any performance improvement over functioning standard coils. Superspark coilpacks on the other hand, WILL improve the performance. which of course we can get you. check out www.superspark.com.au and if you are interested we retail them for $499.
  7. honestly no wonder, have you seen that place? its HUGE! I just dont think there would be the market for that kind of thing in Brisbane at this time.
  8. well, go out to the track, armed with a point and shoot style infra red temp gauge. come back in to the pits, look at your tyre wear pattern. measure the temps at the inside, middle, and outside of the tyres. try and keep the temps as even as possible by adjusting tyre pressure. suspension setup really is mostly experimentation to see what works best for YOUR car.
  9. We recommend the TuneAgent front upper control arms for camber adjustment. I have had them on our 300ZX race car now for over 2 years.
  10. the new Australian developed Superspark coilpacks have been proven to make a 14KW gain over standard coilpacks on an RB25 motor. which of course we can get you a set Testing on the Splitfires by UAS for Autosalon magazine showed NO gain in performance over standard coils.
  11. damn I was counting on them for future supply of cheap slick race tyres!
  12. lol I really want to make this a reality, get more people into a REAL race experience and give those who will have never have had a chance (before now) to experience first hand what driving a supercar is really like. It will give me a huge kick to see how much fun you guys will have driving one of our beasts!
  13. drift a zed!? its tough, ask Dan
  14. if I can get enough backers behind this we could have the choice of driving a 300 or also a GTR to keep everyone happy. I have someone who may be able to donate the GTR for building up.
  15. AMEN brother PS I guarantee ANYONE who gets to drive this car will have a massive grin from ear to ear after their first 5 lap session!!!
  16. I love these people that think a 300ZX is not a serious race car. They obviously dont hang around motor sport or circuit racing. lets see how serious a 300ZX is as a race car. Unique Autosports 300ZX fastest car at Nissan Datsun Nationals 2005 Wakefield Park, and 2007 Phillip Island. My 300ZX not far behind in both events. Also Unique Autosports 300ZX 3rd at Autosalon circuit racing challenge at Wakefield Park, and 6th at Superlap at Oran Park which featured THE fastest circuit racing cars in Australia. My 300ZX won the 2007 Queensland Raceway Sat afternoon sprint series in Road 8 category and the car is consistently in the top 3 fastest cars on the day if its not the fastest. Steve Millen's 800HP VG30DETT twin turbo so unbeatable in 1994 US IMSA championship the motor was banned similar to how Australia banned the Skyline GTRs at Bathurst. so take the 300ZX VERY seriously my friend.
  17. also the thing with the V8 race experience, those cars arent exactly "supercars".
  18. I have been thinking about this for a little while. Just wondering whether people would be interested in this concept. YOU get to drive an AMEC built 400KW 300ZX race car. For most people, building their own beast is either financially impossible or too time consuming. We are thinking of building a 300ZX AMEC race car (mark 2) for the purpose of giving people the opportunity to see what its like having 400KW under the foot around Queensland Raceway. Basically you would get a full afternoon of sprints either at Sat Afternoon Sprints or Top Gear Sprints. We are thinking at offering this for maybe $500 which gets you 15-20 laps. QR is a safe track with heaps of run off, and the chances of someone rolling a low centre of gravity 300 is quite small. I have come off the exit of turn 1 at 140 clicks onto the infield grass done a 720 - unscathed. Thoughts?
  19. have you done a boost leak test to eliminate that?
  20. sounds like its getting fuel but no spark. I would reckon ignitor module related. Even if it is buggered it wont necessarily throw an ECU code. PS have you checked compression on no 4?
  21. you could always look into having your power steering rack reconditioned, there are workshops that specialise in this. we recommend HSD coilovers which start from $1330, they will go a long way toward stopping your body roll, more info here: http://www.amecautocare.com.au/HSD.htm
  22. we would just do a boost leak test using compressed air to find the leak.
