  1. put me down for march 10. so we pay on the day??? also is it possible to have 2 drivers sharing a car, if we both pay?
  2. when will it be? very interested.
  3. as mentioned R32GTR airbox and 2 afms, has a very dirty K&N filter. one afm faulty i think (i've never used it, came with car). the lot $75ono + Postage, make an offer, i want it gone can separate parts call, post or PM prefer pickup. trent, 0414863386 north brisbane EDIT: Airbox sold
  4. i read a skaife interview, and he said the R32 cost as much as the '02 or '03 HRT car, can't remember which one tho. And HRT have deep pockets... JGTC is my favourite by far, WRC a distant second. tha japs just have a good formula, different styles of cars (FR, MR), choice of engines (supra has had 3S-GTE, 2JZ-GTE, and now V8's), free aero design (just compare the aero kits on JGTC and V8's). only thing is its hard to keep parody.
  5. thats a good point, its just that he bought it to do an engine conv, and so far hes changed the headlights, wheels, air filter, spoiler, speakers, and now he wants paint and a bodykit. i found this. http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/f...p;vehicleType=3 and this http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/news/f...p;vehicleType=3 probably be able to bargain them down below a grand, and i'l find someone who will give it a roady. wont be cheap to feed or fix tho... but it'll be fun atleast
  6. lol. love the luxurious feel of those bugs, the interior just sets them above the rest... beetles are expensive to get parts for arn't they, a mate's dad had a kombi and it sold for a fair wod of cash, and another friend had a "rare" beetle back in school, it was a hunk and he sold it for $5k, and even tho there is about a billion of them. i think people just love the beetleness of them i think $1000 should be enough, in my group of mates there has been 4 R31's and a VL, ,and noone seemed to be able to kill any of them, except by hitting very hard things very fast, but even then they came off okay-ish. they ranged from $300-$4500, and the cheaper ones seemed to handle abuse better than the expensive ones. food for thought. thanks for the input fellas, more opinions always welcome. trent
  7. i was hoping i could get away with a 4 cyl. but i might have to go with a six it looks. at least its more fun i guess... my mate just quit as a taxi mechanic too, damn.
  8. hey boys and girls, as the title suggests, i'm looking at getting a cheap hunk of sh!t so i don't have to worry about driving/parking/racking up k's in the skyline every day. i'm looking at around/up to the $1000 mark, on the road, ready to go. the running costs like rego, petrol, parts, etc have to be pretty low. i'd like it to be able to beat my mates atmo auto 1.8 silvia just cos he's such a rice boy (my gf's '84 318i almost beats it lol) what would you fellas suggest??? EDIT: thats probably missleading, around $1000 total to get it on the road.
  9. mines a daily driver too, only 2 things that sh!t me. every second bogan in a vs commy (with the vx clubsport kit of course), will burn past you thinkin they're the coolest man alive. and its a pain gettin to the stock oil filter often. but for such a hot car, they're pretty practical.
  10. what sort of ballpark price are we lookin at?
  11. sorry to bring up an old tread, but it beats making a new one on the same topic. before i start, when switched off, how high is the oil level relative to the standard filter locaion? (see attached pic (8.6k)) 1).i was wondering about the different setups (in my case engine oil), but wouldn't #2 hold the oil during oil change, which means when the new oil is run thru the cooler, it mixes with the old stuff, reducing the life of the new oil before you've even pulled out of the driveway. 2).if the oil level is at level 2 in the pic, and the cooler is installed as per #1 or #3, wouldn't the cooler drain after driving, which would starve the engine on startup? i'm probably just over reacting but its been bugging me.
  12. what is a bosozoku??? all i can find on them is that they are a bike gang. they remind me of a delorean
  13. i'll try redoing the transmission oil with something more suited to a tired box. it has a 'everyday joe' castrol oil (GL5??) in it now, as circumstances (hilarius story!) prevented me from puting penrite GL4 'light', which will probably go in next (or that redline stuff) i don't think the clutch is the problem, as the pedal has a bit of movement in it before it starts to bite, and there's no visible leaks. i'll fill you all in on the outcome of the next oil change
  14. ...and it only seems to be a problem when its cold, during the first 10 mins of driving it is horrific. oh it affects reverse too. its has really got worse over the last week. pls help someone.
  15. hey fellas, just got a drama with the 'line. It wont shift easily into first when sitting at a set of lights in neutral etc. it will get into first 95% of the time without crunching, but it is getting worse. it will slide in fine when its rolling, and it has no issues in other gears. i've changed the gearbox oil but didn't do anything. the obvious answer is syncros or is it? And does anyone know how much syncros will be, or whether i could get away with just changing that syncro. i've got a friend with a hoist who could probably install it/them if nessesary. cheers
  16. hope this helps... Grey one is the Vspec I white is the Vspec II slim jims right on the specs, but chances are they won't have the factory fitted rubber i've got these info sheets for the nismo and n1 if anyone wants them.
  17. hey guys and gals, I saw a story on ACA with the R34 theft, and was just pondering the idea of getting satellite tracking. does anyone have any experince, know the cost of, (or tried to steel a car with one...lol)? All the info on the net seems to be more orientated about bosses keeping an eye on their workers. Cheers.
  18. location? I know someone that wants one in brisbane. could you pm the reply too, i'll forget to check back here
  19. yeah, awesome cruise, loved that uphill one way section, if only i knew those roads... well done to the organisers!!! i'd love to tag along to that "come a try" hillclimb day. thanks again, well worth the $7

  21. can i add 1 passenger to my car please???
  22. here's an easy one... an r32 jack. no one has them... PM me if you have any luck. cheers
  23. wanted to buy: 17" rims to suit R32 GTR. prefer something like five spoke or TE37 style, prefer with tyres. may consider stock R32/R33 GTR wheels. Thanks, Trent
