    the fine can be issued without even getting a defect its for driving an unroadworthy vehichle $292 i think it is. You require 3 defects for a major defect but you said you git minor that requires a rwc? never heard of that minor is usually fix and get car inspected at vic roads major is rwc either way shit happens.

    yeh straight swap isnt great unless they tyres are in top nick cos the wheels need fixiing as it is. but yeh your wheels must be hella mexican.

    5mm shouldn't make it stick out "too far" but if u have 3mm spare why not use a 3mm spacer and have 2mm clearance? i wouldnt be grinding stuff away what rims are they?
