as mentioned on the other page birds you were reported because your car is not stock, ie after market exhaust and front mount etc so it is reasonable for the police to conclude your car may not comply with the regulations and this is grounds enough for the notice. as for the hids they are not illegal becuase of there brightness, as far as i know i think its 4000 or 4300k are the only legal hids, but they must be factory fitted and comply with the regulations. there are no legal aftermarket kits unless you go to the effort of washers and or auto levelling but then your car still wouldnt have been ADR approved to have them which will then find you in the same boat you are now.. also having had an aftermarket hid kit fitted to my old honda euro which was the standard model so non hid from factory.. they use to blind everyone becuase the were not fitted/levelled properly and i can say it shits me when cars have them and they havent been put in properly and im gettin dazzled the whole time they are behind/coming towards me sucks i hear ya if ya want try tidd brothers hudson road spotswood did my exhaust test there was cheap as.. might be too far for u though

that makes no sense. they are autolevelling so they dont blind people..without auto levelling they are shooting all over the place and blinding people the entire time. headlights are an ADR something a backyarder cannot get right. same as carrying a DB meter there is guidlines on how the test must be conducted and how far away the tripod must be placed prior to conducting the test blah blah.. as for $75 birds i only paid $15-$20 from memory sounds like someone is rippin ya

these kids never learn.. you dont have straight pipes you have a 3" exhaust with twin tips and want a resonator for the middle. its not a straight pipe if you have a res/cat or similar for the third time. *facepalm*

i was more laughing at the others then yourself birds if u go to court. having said that i thought i read somewhere the jasma exhausts dont pass anyway and rwc is different to epa. the problem with the test is that its 75% of your peak RPM which you rarely drive at and never for a sustained period the test is fkd imo but you cant change it.. my car with completely stock 33 gtst-t exhaust pulled 86db. good luck.

10 years ago of course it wasnt as bad even 6 years ago it wasnt cos a stock 33 was about $20k and there wasnt so many because they were cost restrictive.. not any more any tom dick or harry with a quarter time job can afford one. and as for the epa notice.. well thats just how it goes your getting to experience what everyone else goes through on a regular basis get in with an exhaust place is the easiest way if you got stock exhaust wack it on and do the test saves paying for a re test
