  1. if you have the car in melbourne take it to DT panels
  2. nah it was a yellow looking one think it was in canberra... just sell and get an r34 same cost
  3. $15 a can at bunnings for whole car id grab about 10-15 cans might get a bulk discount. why do you want matte black? if its for a cop then do it yourself for sure why pay a fortune for a paint job on a cop?
  4. only r32 looks good with this conversion was a r33 in some magazine a couple months ago with r34 front was fail.
  5. does that actually work ?
  6. depends where are u located? anyone will help you out at a cost.. could u get a mate to drop the car off somewhere? then let the mechanic handle it from there.. if you want pm were ur based can suggest some places.
  7. i dont have a bad record and cops follow me when i take my skyline out they do u turns to come and pull me over and all i dont think he was meaning they wait outside his house for him to go out and stalk him..
  8. you need to get yourself into the offset thread. in shot it will fit easily im pretty sure r34 guards are quite generous you can get away with a 18x10 +20 or so without much effort at all perhaps a roll. what you have posted above would be seen as a bit conservative but depends how agressive you want to be. for example my r33 is running 18x9.5 +15 front (20mm wider front guards) sits flush and a 18x10 +20 rear but other things count as well such as stretching tyres etc. are you talking about concave rims? or deep dish rims there is a difference. this is deep dish this is concave (spokes going back in)
  9. my rims are second hand work eurlines and are immaculate i dont know where you are based but in melbourne its not hard at all to get decent second hand rims. thats good prices your geting for tyres btw.
  10. mate its your car pick what you want dont post every possible wheel here as its unlikely you will get a 100% approval. work out the overall style you want from your car and then what is important to you in the wheel is it looks or light weight performance focus? if you havent tried hit up j-imports.com importmonster.com.au and the for sale forums here and ns.com lots and lots of rims up for grabs..
  11. a thread about drag racing and gear changing is never complete without fast and furious quotes.. maybe the mr.carerra doesnt live his life a quarter mile at a time?
  12. you dont need 4k for jap rims... unless your talking brand new.. i think in fairness he doesnt know alot about rims as he has left out the important details so i would say they are very good value for what they are. $180 tyres on 19" rim can u pls tell me brand and specs? thanks.
  13. yes as said a fair few times now.. you wont be able to drive the car after the 1 month period.. id suggest taking it to a workshop asap or get it taken to one where they can get it sorted on your behalf you dont have to personally clear the defect.
  14. sorry if im blind but 19 x ? the width and offset is were your difficulty may come from not the 19" side of things. as mentioned above these wont be highly recommended by anyone because they are more suited to holdens but hey its your car.. they are quite cheap so dont expect much and the tyres will be useless if you like traction. if your planning to just drive around and want some wheels that look better then stock then go for it.. you wont find much better for less. but second hand rims might be a good option for u.
  15. second hand bbs LM are cheap as.. importmonster had some in stock for like 2.5-3k. immaculate condition with tyres. that car looks crap imo but i dont like wheels hanging out.. flush is win.
  16. LOL drift teks why ?
  17. i drove a skyline r33 gts-t on my p's under the old laws never had an issue with power to weight i thought it came in under the kw per tonne. it had a big front mount and some other more discreet things never had a drama for power to weight maybe the 30 or so cops who stopped me on my p's just didnt worry about it 5 years ago
  18. why all replicas? get second hand genuine rims if anything otherwise you may as well slap a gtr badge on while your there.. if anything the progressive are nicest but how about some dish ?
  19. this man speaks the truth car can be driven for the purposes of repairs and to vic roads after the 7 days they give you 1 month to use the car in this way if you are driving it outside of this you would get done for driving it. ie if your out at 8pm at night highly unlikely to be going to a workshop.. got this info first hand off vicroads last friday as i didnt get a rwc in time and have been driving to workshops this week and will be driving it to vicroads tomorrow happy to confirm this for you.
  20. there is a whole thread dedicated to offsets search other peoples offset i think for r34 you could run 10" comfortably at the back..
  21. i rang up last week as im in similar boat but they told me you have 4 weeks to clear it and u can only drive the car for the purpose of repairs to and from workshops or vicroads. after that he said the rego may be suspended id say if u rang up vicroads you should be ok they are pretty helpful with this stuff particularly if u tell them u cant source parts due to time of year etc. im not sure ringing the officer would do anything cos they dont care once they issue the defect its vicroads/your problem, i could be wrong though.
  22. can u pm pics of front indicators pls? thanks
  23. scathing stop wasting your time multiple others have understood and answered my question quite easily so you can give up now you have more then proven the point that you can use google search and pretend to know what your talking about it seems you are just looking for attention. either way your contribution is no help at all and for your information running stretched tyres is illegal.
  24. there have been engine mods and i believe there still is our family friend who is a police offer bought an ex undercover police car and that had a lot more go then factory.
  25. perhaps comprehension is not a strength of yours. my question purely related to a 10" rim and what is the suitable tyre for this i didnt ask about the legality of the rim on the car. regardless of the car the tyre must be within the guidlines for that size rim unless im wrong? k thanks bye. Rbryan & wheeldeal thanks for your help
