  1. A Hot lap around Sandown in the Gibson MotorSport r32 GTR..... I was in love from the moment on
  2. www.japanparts.com you can order new parts for all Nissan's r32 onwards
  3. I had a similiar problem until I got my timing belt replaced and done 100,000km service to replace all the platinum plugs with new ones and got new coils, plus had the fuel rails cleaned. If your in Vic Garry Rogers Nissan in Glen Waverly still service GTR's and they work on my r33 for stock stuff.
  4. Remove the sub Seriously the low frequency noise over time lossens things that are so hard to get too that you will be pulling your car apart to tighten everything up.
  5. There is usally a back order for parts in Japan, approx 2 weeks, then delivery 14-21 days, then the repair to put the car togther. Don't forget before you leave look over your car carefully anything you are unhappy with don't sign anything until it is fixed.
  6. www.japanparts.com ask for Graham, ordered new from Japan 14 days to your door.
  7. I am with Shannon's GTR33 - VSPEC $1200 a year full comp Rating 1 with windshield replacement and $300 excess BTW I am 26 years of age But my insurance is on my car for it not being a daily driver, just a weekend car or club events, if you don't drive your car much then Shannon's will lower the cost.
  8. If the car has had accident history then the car will be a lot cheaper. Even with the 32 GTR's you start going from A1 stock the lesser stock quality and hence it is cheaper.

    World Cup!

Every Game Australia Played not only was the opposition against us but the Ref Japan 1 Goal Allowed after Japan took out the Keeper (Aus won) Brazil couldn't get within 1/2 a meter without a foul being called, ref joking and muking around with Brazil and telling Kewell that his World cup has ended (Aus Lost) Crotia 2 obvious penalties not called, Vaduka tackled and an Handball (Aus Drew) Italy Handball no penalty! Italian falls and acts gets a Penalty! What crap score line should really be Aus 1- Italy 0 It shows not only where Australia shafted for the past 10 years with world cup qualifying but also we get shafted through the world cup. FIFA can stick it up their ASS because we got further than they wanted us to go.
  10. In the past Cops and Transport SA have had NFI about anything to do with cars. If your windows is stock standard, show proof from dealer where you brought the car. If they say it fails tell transport SA to take it up with Holden or HSV because it wouldn't be allowed to be registered in the first place or made if it didn't meet ADR. If they haven't ping'd you on the suspension get it checked to make sure it is legal before being a Smart ASS! BTW the coppers in SA is all about revenue raising that's what it is all about speed camera's radars everthing! It's because the state Gov over there has no bloody money.
  11. As a GTR owner it's people creating demand for GTR badges whichs cause's GTR owners the most pain, especially when a Ligit GTR get's Badged and you see your badges on a poorly modified GTST. I am only speking from experience! It is one of the most aggreivating things to have happen to me, and really makes it worse when they scratch the F**k'n duco. The next time I see a GTST with GTR badges I will be taking them back. and saving myself $300 for a full set of badges.
  12. Here is my pride and Joy
  13. Actually the bodies of the GTST and GTR are different the GTR has Flared Guards larger centre tunnel and is slightly wider than a GTST, The prove is when a GTST owner tries to fit a GTR front spoiler kit and it just doesn't quite fit. The performance and ratios between the cars are different obviously and weight. The GTST is alot lighter than the GTR. But to Claim a GTST as GTR with badges is very rice and try hardy! Just like a commodore drive sticking HSV stickers and badges on a crappy VN exec. It only makes it harder for comodore drives to know what they are beating, they claim GTR but unfortunately it is not! What a pitty the poor bastards don't know the difference!
  14. Touring cars where changed for all the Ford and Holden fans to have a sport where drinking and lack of intelligence is encouraged over a very long day, which BTW finished quicker when the skylines where racing . If Holden and Ford aren't so scared why did they knock back Toyota from entering the V8 supercars? Because they know even a fridge on wheels will kick their ARSSSSSS!
  15. If you drive the car hard it will be uneconomical, If you like to launch it just see your front tyres wear like buggery. Then you drive it and go stuff it to much fun, then you go more power and speed, then GTR equals money pit! It all depends on how you treat the car and what you want to do with it.
  16. On my 33 I had the same problem until I replaced my timing belt and got a retune with a new set of plugs now I sit on around 800rpm and just under a grand with AC on.
  17. Hi I am interested in buying your Highflow CAT, will it bolt straight on to a stock GTR exhaust system? 33 Plus I live in Melbourne please email me for further deatils. [email protected]
  18. Don't worry I have worked it out. Thankyou for reading the post
  19. The look and finish on a mucked up GTT to look like a GTR is a waste of GTR parts. The fit is shit and half the mounting points on the base models are missing. You will never get the full experience of driving a mocked up skyline compared to the Real thing. This also gives GTR's bad street cred by Moronic Holden drivers who think they burnt of a GTR skyline and brag how good there club sport is! Please help the GTR's to take there rightful place at the top of the mantel. BTW it has been done and will forever be done, but you will get better resale value with the proper GTR compared to a mock up!
  20. Autobarn have them they are the same globe used for a VX commodore, has a red cover over the bulb but that is easy to replace. This will come with the globe and the plastic screw back as one unit. Believe me I know it's the only GMH part on my Riced up beast!
  21. There is an issue with GTR's over time that the drive shafts on the front need to be tightened, shudders occurs under brakes from speed aproaching corners or take off between 1st and second gear.
  22. I know a kickass panel beater, who worked on my GTR front bar, which had massive scartches and cracks and chips and now looks sweeeeeeet! Lightwood Auto's near Springvale.... Look them up here www.whitepages.com.au
  23. With most imported cars when they come in for compliance, the original fuel filler neck is removed and a generic Nissan Cap and filler added especially around 1995 to 1998 complied cars. (meaning they gut the original pipe and glue in the Aust standard one inside the original pipe). The only option is to replace the fuel filler neck, and filler and cap with the factory original. My car has similiar charcastics to what you are describing, but mine only occurs after track days or motorkhana's with high speed cornering when fuel spill's everywhere.
  24. I had a similar problem and got auto repair after repair to hunt down the wiring, checked all the engine managment and sensor and was fine. Adventually I got of my ASS and replaced the Tacho all fixed, mind you the Tacho wasn't cheap!
