    Good evening SAU team , just a quick update on the 400r , just had the guys Lush Auto Spa (https://lushautospa.com.au/) do full paint correction and ceramic coating(Exterior and Interior) pictures look great , I'll be picking it up tomorrow. Highly recommend Lush Auto Spa for anyone who wants their car to look its absolute best.

    Looks like a good fix , I might look into a HKS unit in the future but I had me exhaust guy look at it , apparently the resonators in the FUJITSUBO - Cat Back were hollow (decorative resonators ) , so he removed them and put in high flow resonators , that's made it little less aggressive sounding in low RPM's.

    Thanks Duncan , they are the akebono calipers , for discs I might just look at getting the same size but possibly slotted units.

    I was at Tunehouse in Marrickville (great team over there really know their VR's) , and I spotted this Very clean R35.

    Mate , I have the same issue right now with the exhaust noise , if you can tell me what your local guy did , I'll talk to my guys and see if they can do the same. Power is good but it just too loud when put it down.

    Thanks for the details mate , for me I think being a daily driven and happy with a basic tune (630Nm and 310kw) . Seems to be working well I just put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 should help put the power down. I'm going to start looking a brakes and LSD in the future so I might reach out to you on options to upgrade the brakes. Cheers - Dee

    Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.

    Mate , this is the current mods list Current Mods list (Installed) RV37 Skyline 400R (SKYLINE) | FUJITSUBO - Cat Back RV37 Skyline 400R (SKYLINE) | FUJITSUBO - Front Pipe AMS - INFINITI Q50/Q60 RED ALPHA COLD AIR INTAKE KIT AMS - Performance Heat Exchanger Intercooler AMS Alpha Performance Full Race Down Pipes ECUTEK tune form TuneHouse in Sydney .(Just over 2k) The car came with HKS - Power Editor but I had it removed for the full tune. I would say if you are using the car for street diving a proper tune would be better.

    Quick Update on the 400r , AMS race downpipe installed . vey raspy sounding exhaust . (not sure if a like it, maybe need to get used to it if not might have to look at a resonated set in the future) It has now done a trip to TuneHouse , the team over there did a good job managed to do a safe tune at 310kw @ the Wheels , however I'll have to look at better tyres to make the most of it.

    Welcome back mate ,I also joined in the early 2000's , since then I have been in and out a few times depending if I had a skyline in the garage. I have the another one now , so signed up and back with the SAU team.

    Seems to be the case mate , still an OK price for a grey import.

    Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.

    R serious becoming more of a weekend cars or collectors cars there are less on the road these days , but you sometimes come by one or two . we might have to start spotting the V serious to make up for the gap.

    Got my NSW SAU card this week with the new Lanyard ,Looks cool . I still have my old SAU Lanyard from 2004 , but i'll use the new one. I'll try to make the meeting on 17th , hopefully we will get a few people there.

    Guys , just renewed my mine with Shannon's this week , I updated them that I had a Fujitsbo exhaust installed , so they did increase the cost by $200 , but still good for about $2400 for the year. Very helpful team at Shannon's , when I originally reached out to them last year they hadn't had a 400r , but took all my details and were happy to offer me a policy. it a bit high but that the price you pay to get an Import.

    Spotted this clean R32 parked outside my office in Mascot , looks like afresh import still had Japanese tags on the windscreen . I asked around but no one knew who owed it. Might have been one of our clients or a contactor.

    Hey Mate , I suggest doing a search on eBay , they have a few kits that fit Q50 and might fit with a few modifications on a 400r.

    Duncan , the plan is to get the down pipes done then I book it in for the full tune . Most likely late May , that's the plan.
