Nissan R33 Series 1 GTS25T 3" Turbo back exhaust to twin 2.5" pipes Apexi CAI Bleed valve JustJap FMIC pulled 160rwkw on 4.5 - 5psi with huge misfiring problems. more boost + new sparks and a safc should solve this problem and hopefully be reaching ~ 200rwkw.

problem diagnosed as coils, should be fixed up within the week. car managed to pull 160 rwkw on 5psi thou so thats a promising sign for things to come!

im pretty sure it went to 8000rpm yesterday, i was surprised cause i didn't think a stock 6 could go as far as 8. ill take a video of it on my camera phone next time. yeh its a series 1. its going on the dyno today so i guess they can check what might wrong with it! i got a feeling too it might have went over 10psi. i dont have a boost gauge other than the factory one which only reads up to 7 so i might have gone up to like 12+ by mistake. ill drop the pressure and see how it goes on the dyno. as for the shuddering its its pretty erratic.

i never thash the car, i only did it for a test (and on the bangor bypass going up). if it only shuddered at 7 then i dont care but the fact it happens really bad on 10psi then its starting to worry. i might drop it back down and get it tuned up.

gf's dad is an engine pro he checked the plugs for me when i bought the car. not sure about the gap however. cheers for the thread reference.

so this is misfiring hmmmm. plugs are 100% checked them when i bought the car around 1000kms ago. are these coilpacks much? could these be the only reason why its misfiring or are there other reasons?

Hey, i did a search but i wasn't sure on what to look out for. basically i just put a few mods on the car. heres the story so far: Bought the car completely stock with a leaking bov, was only running 4psi. i didn't mind cause it was going to be replaced soon. used to shudder after 7000rpm. put a 3" turbo back exhaust, fmic, pod, GFB atmo bov and the bleed valve from eBay. now under low boost the car is fine up until around 6000rpm then it starts to shudder. i then up the boost to around 10psi and it shudders after 4000rpm pretty bad, it starts jumping and eventually i just ease off. what could be causing the problem? someone told me it might be the injectors might on the way out but im not sure. the car was completely stock before i got to, it has around 90,000kms on it too. any help will be great guys! cheers. :sorcerer:

Hi, I got my fmic installed so all the parts that came off the original side mount are for sale including piping. will post pics when i get a chance but im sure we all know wat a factory intercooler looks like. I also have a factory R33 exhaust with factory dump pipe. again dont have pictures atm but im sure we all know what it looks like. it has an aftermarket rear muffler (not canon) similar to the VY Commodore muffler (oval shape). any enquirys please post or PM me. I am located in the Western Sydney area, please feel free to inspect goods. postage at buyers expensive. installed today! love'd it very smooth pwr curve and more bottom end pwr. would recommend to anyone.

eariler this year it was a huge success with over 50 cars going on the dyno. got there 1pm finished around 2am, its all for good fun. LOCATION: Unigroup Engineering - Blacktown / Eastern Creek area. Unit 17a amax avenue DATE: Sat - 21 OCT 2006 TIME: 4pm - late it'll be mostly 4 bangers so our rbs wont hvae any problems. all welcomed.

isn't extreme the 5~10% blend? i use the United 10% 98 octane fuel but will go back to BP. The price difference isn't worth the pwr decline.

check the spark plugs, probably the easiest test u can do in the garage. if their black, get ur car some nicorette patches.

these cars are awsum! i used to work at a dealership and didn't know they were RWD till they started stepping out in the wet hehe. basically, look for the roof ensure it closes properly and no leaks and make sure the windows close all the way up when the roof is closed. Also does this one come with the metal head frame? u know in case the car flips? always a good idea to get a pair of these.

hey sorry to go off topic here but im getting the same setup installed tomorrow, is the 3.5" loud? kinda worried about that they had no 3" avialable hehe. as for the main topic, the prices sound really steep. shop around and like others have said eBay is your friend! good stuff off there. Just Jap do 3.5" mild steel turbo back exhaust minus the canon for $599. then just get a twin pipe muffler off ebay for $100 and ur set.

word! im sorry but im sick of ppl whinging because they reckon skylines are vunable to breakage because its considered a "sports car". its got moving parts just like any other car on the road and if u thrash it, it'll break. if u treat it well (like u would with any other car) then u will not get any problems other than the normal like flat tyres etc but that u can't predict. my dads the same he believes he's commdore is a far better car. note it has had 2 g/b's replaced already and its 2 years old with less than 60,000kms i dont want to sound rude but the skyline will be fine! just check for the basics like oils, tyre pressure, etc. and u should be right. like these guys said the constant revs will be good for it too! (runs and hide if he comes back from holiday and needs an engine rebuild)

most of the stuff can be done urself like oils and sparkies. i wouldn't pay someone to bend over and check my tyre pressure. you should do that once a month when u fill up. if u check these lil things from time to time then you dont need such a long list. mines got 90,000km on it i had no idea the service was going to cost so much. its a bit of a worry :
