It's a v-spec sticker can be bought at any nissan dealer or off japan yahoo auctions for less then $100 obviously the last owner stuck it on as it is also not exactly in the correct spot the black interior came with all series II R34 GTR's standard or V-spec II as i said i would say its a standard series II model trying to be passed off as a v-spec only a check of the vin number through nissan fast will confirm this

looks to be a series II 34 GTR but not a v-spec as it would be a V-spec II if it was a 2001 model, standard series II models came out in nov 2000 and V-spec II released oct 2000 in the series II, it is missing its v-spec II carbon bonnet also its rear diffuser if it was a V-spec II, the speedo cluster is from a standard model not a V-spec model the rear diff in one of the photos is from a standard model not a V-spec all the rear badges on the back are in the wrong postion. Only thing that does not add up is the MFD it is from a v-spec as it has 7 functions not 5 as a standard model would have unless the series II GTR's all had 7 functions i know the series I standard models had 5 so i assume the 2nd series was the same So i would say its a standard 2001 series II that someone has changed the MFD and may of had damage at the rear from the postioning of the badges you would think these dealers would know what they are selling since they are a import dealer or must be hoping the customer doesn't

Thanks sean i have a new set of the older style Tomei 76mm dumps as well for a 34 GTR that have the temp sensor fitting so i will use those instead, i do prefer the HPI dumps and wanted to use them but i dont want to modify them for the temp sensor they seem to nice almost like destroying artwork

MPII was released Jan 99 MPIII released Jan-March 2000 so both were the 1st series of R34 GTR both had grey interior and came in standard and V-spec models the second series was not released until oct 2000 in the V-spec II then nov 2000 in the standard models , as stated 300 MPII's were built and have never seen an official number for the MPIII have heard around 160. I would say the car you saw had its interior and bonnet changed

Can anybody tell me the difference between 32/33 to 34 GTR aftermarket dump pipes alot of companies Tomei, HPI , HKS etc list different part numbers for different models a different number for the R34 GTR compared to the 32/33 GTR's is it just the O2 sensor sizing if so can you just use a reducer etc

2001 V-spec 2 HKS cam gears , nismo twin plate clutch ,HKS front pipe , Veilside Titanium 3.5inch exhaust , Apexi power fc ,Apexi pod filters , HKS hypermax 2 coilovers, ACPT carbon drive shaft thats about it i think stock engine turbos and fuel system, it had 260awkw @ 15psi ran a 12.2 @116mph with stock rims with 245 tyres that were way past their use by date were as hard as a rock best 60ft time i could get was 1.98sec this was done at the townsville drag strip possibly the worst prepped track in australia

Some more Bayside Blue goodness V-spec II with ganador mirrors and Top Secret side skirts (never like the nismo skirts that everyone puts on their 34 GTR's)

wouldn't the V-spec II Nur's come with the toshiba screen, only the early model cars came with the sharp screen 99 early 2000 etc I dont think the Nismo MFD upgrade comes with the actual screen

Had a look at a couple GTR mags i have, found a photo of a M-spec Nur in the gold silica breath colour it was at a 34gtr owners meeting out of the 34 Nur's that turned up it was the only one so could be quite rare and does look like the white colours QX1 and QM1 were available on the Nur edition cars

WV2 Sparkling Silver was available, i have info saying both whites QM1 white and QX1 white pearl were sold in the nur edition cars not sure i only think QX1 was a option, TV2 bayside blue ,GV1 black pearl , JW0 millenuim jade , EY0 Silica Breath didn't come on the V-spec 2 nur but did come on the M-spec nur and M-spec models

red AR2 and KR4 silver was not available in the Nur edition cars

Terry did bodyform do the bayside blue paint as well? how did it match to the rest of the car ? i have had dramas in the past trying to get a good match in paint colour with my car
