  1. Im not completely sure but i got a GTR wing and i statred to get water coming in through the bolt holes under the wing. I was goin to remove it all together and noticed a black like gasket that was stuck really firmly to the underside of the wing, that must be getting old and letting the water through. I left it there untill i can get it fixed properly... i sealed the crack around the wing with a white finish selastic, and no more leaks... just till i can get it fix properly. So yeah, i think there must be a gasket or something u can get that helps hold it down along with the bolts.

  4. Yeah i used to have some in my old Civic and FTO with neons under the dash... They're old news now, not even slightly impressive and i feel embarrased to say i had em even though they were considered "cool" back then lol. Come on guys give mel a break, she's bi yeah? And u clowns still think u got a chance of crackin onto here when she knows supermodel quality chicks... lol just playin.   5. Still reckon the series 2 front bar with the lip is the go, looks tough as and keeps the series 2 look. All the other bars can go on either series 1 or 2. The other bars look good dont get me wrong but i got a series 2 cause they look way better than series 1 and tough headlights etc. Im way bias though haha
  6. What if u just bought the whole instrument cluster? Would that re-calibrate it......i was thinking this, before when tossing up between the 320 vs 180 white faced dials. got the 180 cause seriously how often do u go above that. and on the drag strip u get told how fast u were going anyway! Plus personally i think they look better with just the middle lighting up and being able to jump between blue and green just by pressing a button.
  7. Looks good man. I did the same and was tossing up between painting or polishing. ended up get em polished and the crossover pipe done aswell for $200, and sprayed the spark plug cover... Have a look yourself. Im thinking next step is to change the intake manifold so therefore the piping aswell. So i'll be selling the cross over pipe and whatever piping anyone wants. Matt.
  8. I sprayed the calipers on my FTO bout a year ago before i sold it. One thing i thought was that since the car was like 10 years old the brake pads that may have been on it at some stage, may have contained asbestos, as some of the older pads did... i made sure to wear a dust mask when using the wire brush, a fair bit of crap does come off. Just a heads up... Might not be dangerous but better safe than sorry hey. Matt.
  9. I got my eboost 1 for $550 brand new. U might be able to get one cheaper second hand or off ebay. Its got 3 boost settings which is perfect since my cars main priority is road use, but the 3 preset settings u can jump between at the press of a button makes its easy if u wanna really give it a boot or take it to the drags. I've got mine set at 8 - 10 and 14 psi. I cant see the point of spending the extra money and getting an eboost 2 with the 8 boost settings unless your cars just for drag racing since its got all that extra jazz in there to take care of that kind of stuff.

Its certianly nasty looking with its yellow and red combination. Upon testing however, our doubts were turned on their heads as the unassuming pleated filter punched out huge figures. With the highest airflow of the bunch and the second best filtration this is definatly a clear cut winner.

I bought my car stock and there was no psssstt noise just the turbo winding up, then i got a front mount intercooler and a turbosmart vee port blow off valve and its not plumb back and i had the blow off valve noise, it also makes a fluttering noise depending on how i use the throttle. Then i put the pod filter on and there is a huge difference on the induction noise and with the bonnet up, i reved it a little and u can hear like a wastegate fluttering noise coming from the pod filter... that may be the noise your hearing, coming from the pod?
  13. It was $225 for the cross over pipe, both rocker covers and the top intercooler pipe. $25 for the intercooler pipe so i thought i may aswell get the whole lot done so it was all polished the same even though the intercooler pipe was already chrome but it brightened it up a bit.
  14. I just got the rocker covers and cross over pipe polished and the plastic strip sprayed blue. Just wanna know how u guys reckon i should put the nissan badge back on? double sided tape was what it had but thats the good tape from the factory, the double sided tape i got is piss weak.... glue maybe? or the tape will be enough?

  16. Im getting the rocker covers and the cross over piping polished chrome, and intercooler piping repolished as its not much more expensive to get that done aswell, And the plastic covers painted. Just wanted to know when u removed the rocker covers did u need a new gasket or anything as i haven't removed them on my car before. If so how much was the new gasket or could u re-use the old one?
  17. I use this stuff called BRASO. Works awesome. Its like a brass polish but its not to rough and not to fine
  18. What blew, turbo or engine? Its resets when i turn the car off and all the tuned settings go good again. Then when i give it a boot it might screw up or not but when it does is keeps doin it untill i turn the car off.

A few times the light came on like you said and I didn't notice the performance drop a few times but just lately the car felt like it wanted to go but the revs were going up really slow and the light was on. The guy that tuned my car said that that is a safety feature and it down tunes it to protect the engine. But I just can't understand why it didn't do it when I first got the car tuned and it does now... He said that it must be that the knock sensor is tuned a little bit too sensitively. That or the air flow metre is playing up.

  21. I've got the same sorta problem, wheres acc valve, u said before... "a while ago and i cleaned the aac valve and that fixed that up"? I also have the pfc but even when my car warms up i still got the problem not really bouncing but drops low and sometimes stalls, but if i ease the clutch in its ok as apose to "stomping it in" when im rolling up to lights, driveways etc but the revs are sometimes ok and sometimes low...
  22. I've had my car dyno tuned not to long ago and it was running fine, now im having trouble with running my car at 10 or 14 psi without the engine light flashing. This was happening last night and the speedo was goin up really slowly and the car felt really sluggish for 14 psi. I took it back to the place that tuned it today and he said it sounds like the knock sensor or air flow meter. He's gonna hook all the jazz back up to it some time next week to try to find the exact problem, just wonderin what u guys reckon it is. Matt
