I will give you $50 for the airconditioning vent engine. The one that sits in the dash that moves the vents around when you change it from feet to face or demister for example.

Slight Correction mike: The GTX familia did not have the B6T in it... It had the BPT which is a 1.8T, just like the BPD which is also 1.8T but with stronger internals and a larger turbo with more boost. If I was to do a swap on a MX5 it would be with a BPT, as the halfcuts cost around 2 grand (The MX5 has the BP engine. I have done this conversion before, to my old astina. That thing hammered). The BPD halfcuts are around double that price, are hard to find too. That being said, the BPD is much stronger, but if you keep the BPT stock you will find it hard to break it. I flogged the tits off mine and it was fine. The BPT has 140KW at the fly and hits boost by 2k. Also, the B8/BP/BPT/BPD are EFI whereas the B6/B6T engine is a carby.

at high speeds I sometimes crunch going into 4th, but only really at 150 or more, so it doesnt really phase me as a rarley see that sort of speed. If im paitent on the gear change it go's in fine anyway. I just dont think the synchros can keep up at thoes speeds.

if its a GTS4 it will have a ATTESSA AWD (GTR) gearbox in it if the person who converted it had any sense at all. If you put a GTST box in there then it would be a GTST, plain and simple. Does AWD still work?

Driving a GTR requires alot of thought. Its not just point and click by a long shot. AWD means you have to have more skill with your throttle application...

I believe the SR20 he was talking about was NA. would prob go like the clappers in a MX5. Also, the best car by far and wide for the pice for mountain climbs there is the Familia GTR.

I only have a webber at home I will supply a esky full of meat and sasuages and onions and bread, along with some soft drink, but I dont have an actual bbq and even if I did, getting it into the line would be an intresting manuver. I might be able to borrow a mates however.
