  1. Yea the panel will be fine, I mean if you want to talk legally any change affecting emissions needs to be engineered, but ive never heard of anybody being done for an upgraded panel filter so dont worry about it, the officer who looked at my car didnt even open up the box just had a quick look. the old "factory option/thats how i bought it" provides a bit of leniancy for those problems if it ever rises. Sorry not sure which is better, ive got the Apexi panel and power intake pod if that helps Al
  2. if its only the soft plastic inner guard and you dont want to remove it, you can melt it back gradually as ive done a few times. All you need is a heat gun or decent hair dryer, and as it heats and softens up push back on it with something solid until you get enough clearance.
  3. Mate, i just finished clearing up my problem, I was done recently for a pod with a heat shield as my stock box wont fit over my intercooler piping, was told by the EPA officer he was going to take some shots then the head office will decide what to do as it was not "fully" enclosed. Month later got the letter in the mail, $200 fine, and inspection needed by approved DECC officer, meaning it had to be done right,Source and refit old intercooler pipes, old box. but the wierd part is the mechanic told me over the phone i was going to have to do a noise test and emmissions test as these were affected by the air filter. My car was engineered for everything else so luckily didnt end up needing to do that( also as i passed the noise test at the pits thanks to EVC) but not sure what the exact process is they follow. Oh Inspection cost $40 at Archers in Granville, spoke to Craig a few times he was a top bloke helped me clear it. Was told simply enclosing the pod 99% of the time will not pass if it is an EPA formal inspection as they dont pass or fail them, they only take photos and send them to EPA to decide, youre best off replacing the stocker and if you want to keep the pod in, get a custom fitted box for the pod made up like i am after you clear it. The stock replacement panels for the standard air filter wont be a defect.
  4. If that low point your talking about is beneath the axle, then that doesnt count, look it up on rta they cant get you for having it too low on certain points. just dont rub it in the coppers face or they'll find something else to get you on.
  5. No matter what wheel you buy, it is recommended to retighten your nuts after about 20 kms, and this must be done correctly with the proper tools, i mean, your wheels are the only thing holding the car onto the road mate. when using loose spacers you need to retighen frequently as they will and do compress slightly over time and driving. that said they should have told you that any spacer or adaptor not welded onto the hub and engineered is illegal and defectable. Also make sure you have the centre hub rings fitted, these are different to spacers and should have been provided free with any set sold. Sounds like you need a lower offest wheel...
  6. it can be done, you will need wider guards not just lipped, and a low offset wheel to clear. i just finished fitting up 19x10 all round on a gtt, 19offset with aftermarket guards, sits flush. youll need a big tyre for 10", which on the front of a 4 door will make a fair difference when driving. 20x8.5front/20x10rear is btter suited in my opinion, unless you've already got the guards then go for it. al
  7. 4 stud to 5 stud is not easy, firstly the wheels must have a flat inner dish where the holes are. (ie most wheels that have covers over the nuts are flat), you usually need to fill the wholes then re-drill. I Know of a couple places that may do this work but should only be carried out by professionals.

  10. Buddy, Verde Kaos Black with chrome dish: Can see some pics at www.talebtyres.com.au other black wheels available, pm for details
  11. Mate dont recommend them, especially when you can buy decent second hand tyres that WILL last longer, for the same price or cheaper!
  12. Hey Mate, For the 33 gtst, 225/30/20 front/rear, if you like/able to 245/35/20 rear. If your after 20 inch thats a bit of bling and race synergy, Have a look at these Verde Kaos wheels. Come in black with chrome dish for a nice balance, full chrome, or polished silver which is fairly light compared to similar wheels.
  13. Hey mate How big do you wanna go? heres a couple of wheels in the black which you might like in 18", silver machined dish 18,20", chrome dish
  14. As Dj Brave said, you've got a performance car, although you can buy cheap and nasty for around $100. At the end of the day, your tyres are the only contact to the road. Whats the point of fitting bigger brakes or engine mods with crappy tyres when you cant get any grip. What car is it for? You can buy decent tyres starting at $120 fitted/balanced depending on the size. Located in Sydney, Send me a PM if your interested. Al
  15. Definately need a WA, and its gonna be tricky to keep your tyres wearin smooth as others have said even with the WA
  16. What type of wheels were you after? ie. Chrome, sports, Race?
  17. Mate, you need to work out the size based on whatever your tyre placard states, it should be whatever the stock R32 GTR size is, however sometimes it may be a bit diferent(mistakes at compliance), you're allowed to go over or under the stated tyre size rolling diameter by no more than 15mm according to rta, so keep that in mind when changing sizes. And if you like you can get your speedo recalibrated for the difference.
  18. Yea buddy seeing as the tyres were worn when you did the last alignment, then new tyres will need an alignment to get the most out of them. once the tyres are wearing on one side, an alignment isnt going to make them wear straight again. and it might not seem too important but make sure you have the correct tyre pressure before you do the alignment, makes a difference.
  19. DONE
  20. Hey buddy , these look like a nice tyre, havent heard any feedback on this pattern but if youre in sydney I can get these for you at a much much cheaper price. let me know if youre interested. Al
  21. Yea depending if it has been lowered and by how much. you could easily fit 20s let alone 19's on them. 245 is fine could go wider on the back if you wanted to.
  22. Can get you the R888 235/45/17 or similar sizes for much cheaper if interested, $250 mark for 235/45/17 Also available R888 225/45/17, suit r34 gtt similar price around $230.
  23. Yes, 19s will fit no problems, as long as no lowering has been done, otherwise you will have to either live with some scrubbing or go to a smaller tyre size on the front which is where your trouble will be(if the rear offset is correct) although watch out where you buy the rims cause some dealers make the sale and thats it, while others will try them on, even take them for a spin if your unsure once fitted making sure there all good before you hand over any cash.
  24. Hey ive got a similar problem, ive had my fronts buffed while gettin the car detailed but my drama seems to be the lights are stained from the inside not outside cover. BTW how hard is it to take of the loight covers on an r34
