Adjustable Coilover Setup Question
Taleb Tyres replied to Taleb Tyres's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ok i get you. I found out that yes the spring has to be captive as you said, snug but not too compressed gonna get it looked at for the corner weighting, anybody in sydney that does this work? -
Hey guys, i have a set of Aragosta fully adjustable coilovers on my 34, came on it from Japan. My question is, when tightening the top ring where the spring is, how tight should that be ie should i tighten the ring up until the spring sits snugly in place, or should i be compressing the spring and tightening the ring so the spring is compressed? if so, how compressed should it be? Just want to make sure its setup properly as i want to head to the track pretty soon Cheers

I run the lemans lm702 on my skyline in 265/275 19" and i have to say they are awesome tyres. Excellent dry traction, silica compound, It still wants to go sideways in the wet, but i have had wet traction significantly increased as well compared to say the b/s potenza. Alot of people think a tyre needs to be rotational to have good performance, this tyre is unirotational, but has to be one of the best i have tried. I havent tracked them yet to see how they cope but am trying to get down to a trackday soon.

Great work mate, i wired up the tv to my dvd deck and ps2 a while ago, but never knew the other functions were attainable without the MFDv2. Have to Buy from Nissan I assume?

pm sent i have the dunlop direza dz101, but i dont have them in those sizes to match. i only have 1 pair of the 255/40/17, can do them $190. i have another pair in 265/40/17 if you want them wider. 215/45/17 are yokohama or pirelli if you want something good, price 150-175, kumho is cheaper. nothing that wide in 17" sorry
-
if your looking to match up the 235/45/17, 265/35/18 is perfect rolling diameter, if you want something a bit cheaper you can go 255/35/18 which is ok, just stay away from gutters! I have some specials on these sizes you might be interestd in, check out my thread taleb tyre thread

pods gotta be completely enclosed, then engineered. that box would prob pass at a pink slip but from my experience, if its not back to stock, or engineered, RTA inspection wont pass it. and silencers which can adjust the noise or emissions, are not allowed. but it depends how well you want it done ie the electronic silencers are pretty subtle, i have a butterfly valve after my cat and i went through the same thing you are without a problem . just make sure its not obvious.....im sure you can think of a few things....

What Tyres Do I Need?
Taleb Tyres replied to 02_FNE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
theres no rule that you go down in series by that much for every inch, although it may appear often. its the whole rolling diameter that affects the speedo not just the profile of the tyre, use an online tyre size calulator and you can work out the best size for your car.
