Rank rotary in morrabin he's pretty good he recons rebuild the bottom end out of the car and when its ready swap it over

ok yeah probably do that then it wasnt cause of mods cause i only just did em the reason i found out is because thepower output was low for what i had i will see if warenty will cover it because it does have in warenty alot of stuff upto $4000 on engine parts pistons rings ect ect the list is long

Well i confirmed today that my rb20 is on its way out low compression and it needs a rebuild i bought the car from Japanese Sports Auto in preston i do have warenty but i have a few mods that i will need to get rid of otherwise warenty will not cover it what to do? i wanna run heaps more power if i go the rebuild im even thinkin engine upgrade but not sure what to go for? my warrenty allows your choice of mechanic to do your warrenty work so i could get them to start rebuild and pay a bit extra to do engine work in the mean time I really dont know what to do the car still runs ok now so i have time to make the big decision what would you guys do i need suggestions rebuild rb20 forge pistions ect ect ect / rb25 / rb30 ???? i already have big turbo and bolt on parts manifold ect for rb20 dont really wanna buy all new stuff again? i dont even know what fits to other engines if i chande it? help?

well mines screwed i dont know the figures on all cylinders but mechanic said 100 psi on the test ive got the rb20 Lucky the stupid car yard that sold me the dud has warenty got to rip out my parts though i would have never know if i didnt start modifiing it i found out cause its not making the right power figures with what i have

yeah the manifold has been modified to fit a direct bolt on standard size waste gate have a look at the picture and you can see the extra bit on top im pretty sure it will bolt straight on to the r33 i bought it for the 32 and was told it fits both

No way cost me a fair bit to modify if you want a cheap one buy it from e bay My one is alot stronger with thicker stainless steel 400 is a good price sorry

Ok guys i have bad news they fixed up cam belts ect it picked up a bit of mid range power but not much anywhere else. They did a compression test and only got 100 psi or something he said it should be 150 he told me that the bottom end of my engine is worn he recons it needs a rebuild? Its Blowing a fair bit of black smoke when i give it a bit anyway im going to the dyno day id love some advice When should i rebuild? The car is actually under warrenty (if i take my parts out again) for another two years If I rebiuld i wanna make the car an animal no more lag but anyway i will need heaps of advice

i wouldnt push mine that hard but im pretty sure he had some engine work done but not too sure on the details but i will ask him next monday bout it do you think the cam timing would also cause it to put out a bit of black smoke cause when i sink the boot into it it blows a bit of smoke i can see it in my rear view cant be good so ive stopped giving it till i get it looked at

i spoke to rob he got 280rwkw with the similar turbo to mine dont know exact specs but he had cams and some engine work done i spoke to him when he was at rank when i took it in to show pete i will let you guys know next week when i get it back

im getting my tuner to have a look at my cam timing cause he thinks its reterded a fair bit im not making good power for what i have in my car and its all possibly related i will let you all know how it goes its going in next monday

Keep it nice come on im Chasing around 220 to 250 kw mark i went in to rank rotary today and pete finally drove the car he recons the cam timing is retarded hes gonna check it all out next monday it should go alot better then if not im changing my turbs rank rotary is very close with sabbin auto both wolf tuners and both supposed to be very good also when to RE customs he said get a gt2876r he said it will get between 200 and 250rwkw and a lot lower rpm so its either gt3071 not sure on spool up rpm? or gt2876r im still deciding what to do i will see how pete goes rob at sabbin said the same as pete cause he was there when i took my car down

i will ring RE then and i will consider there solotion more than the others then thanks heaps mate
