  1. Ben,,,chill tiger. If I had the info Rick is after I would be more than happy to pass it on. I'm not all that precious with what I do with my car. That said it's only a matter of time before I will be doing a rebuild and I will document everything. Cheers Neil
  2. Rick,,,it's all good mate. But asking me about rebuild pricing scares me. My engine still has all it's Nissan air still inside so I have no idea about recon pricing. My engine has never had it's head or sump off or ever been out of her engine bay and Cheryl is still going strong,,,but now you have cursed me. If my baby blows up at my next race I'm a gonna come lookin for you bitch. Cheers Neil.
  3. Here's almost all of my race vids from Sunday,,,bloody youtube wouldn't load run 4. I couldn't be bothered recording any outside of the car. I was quicker in Saturdays practice but I just couldn't replicate it on race day and nor could almost anybody else. This ones the 1st of the day and after some overnight rain it's just a sighter really. Big launches were not the order of the day unfortuanely,,, this ones a 5500 grand launch. This one I thought a very sedate launch would be better and it was until I stood on the load pedal. This ones the last run of the day and my fastest,,,,2.30 in the arvo and by far the best traction of the day. Cheers Neil.
  4. Oh well,,, you realise your giving up the chance to pit for the coolest car there. Fatz,,, I wouldn't trust him near a spannner let alone a case of beer.
  5. Alright Matt,,,I'm off to Tamworth on the 17th to the 20th of July for round 7,,,do you want to be my one and only pit crew,,,meaning no Sarah???. Cheers Neil.
  6. 3 timing whore actually bitch and if you did the right thing by me I would be the perfect broad minded person and you could be my dirty mole.
  7. f**k me I love you talking the talk but you don't help me go faster bitch. Disclaimer::: no hammers or fuel systems were hurt this weekend.
  8. Yea but the bastard will still not put out,,,and it doesn't matter how many dinners I buy him. Might have to start touching him inappropriately like I did with you. Cheers Neil.
  9. Matty,,,having a fellow race car driver thats knows his shit is so helpful. Having someone that can tell me what he would do as opposed to what I think is priceless. I'm not about to except your resignation just yet,,,so get back to work ya blunger. cheers Neil.
  10. Lots of things came out of this weekend for me and all of them were positives. Handles is the best pit bitch I've ever had,,,life is so much easier when I don't have to tell someone what to do. It's fantastic to have someone that just does the shit jobs and enjoys it. We walked the track on Saturday morning and it was so refreshing to bounce ideas off him and get his feedback. Having someone that continually checks my tyre pressures and makes the right decisions is a godsend. A MASSIVE thanks Tiger. The slick are absolutely fantastic and I'm never ever going back to semi's. They are so bloody predictable even in the cold and slightly damp early morning conditions. I was very worried about them wearing out quickly but they look to have little wear on them. Cheryl ran prefectly all day,,,I thrashed the living shit out of her as usual and she loved every moment of it.,,,she is such a great girl. Cheers Neil.
  11. No you boxhead,,,I race a GTS-T not a breakable GTR.
  12. How cool would it have been if it had a carlton draught emblem on it,,,still very amusing.
  13. No you don't you big breasted idiot,,,your only plan is to break the bloody thing and then move onto the next poor un-expecting GTR. Love as always Neil.
  14. I'm using the plazmaman paper gasket,,, it works a treat. Cheers Neil.
  15. and so much better looking than me.
  16. That would have been about my quess Matty.
  17. So Cheryl got her corner weighting and a wheel alignment today and heres the results. The alignment turned out bloody great,,,seems I haven't hit anything hard since the last alignment and the cars NOT bent. That tells me 2 things,,,smashing ripple strips does nothing and tieing the car down by the wheel spokes does nothing as well. Happy days. Corner weighting though has pointed out that I still need to remove lots more weight. I'm starting to think I'm not going to go crazy,,, It's time to working on the Radical for next year. Heres the corner readouts as the morning went on. 3 hours in total. The 1st pic is straight out of the trailer and the 2nd is at the end with my weight in the drivers seat. Cheers Neil.
  18. You two are funny f**cks. Friday night beers must have been great. Me I don't drink anymore,,,. Mark, I thought your idea of "de-powering" my steering might have had some merit so I did some asking and searching. Done properly I'd recon I could lose about 15 kilo's but as I said above I do need to steer the car at low speeds as well. If I had a little girls car like yours powered by a lawn mower engine I would jump at it in a flash. Cheers Neil.
  19. Hey Mark,,,how they hangin mate?. I will find out tomorrow what Cheryl weighs. I've just finished filling her up with 40 litres of fuel for tomorrow so I'll get a wet reading. Depower the steering,,, While that would save way more than 10 kilo's on a gtst,,,I'd have to go to the gym to steer the bloody thing. I did ages ago try steering her without the belt on and man it was hard going. I seem to remember Duncan struggled with steering his r32 without a belt on the track!!!. Guessing the weight,,,shit it better not be anywhere near your prediction,,,1375 is standard so anything under 1300 would put a smile on my face tiger. Cheers Neil.
  20. Thanks Dale,,,I'm happy with it. No to FLARES at the moment.
  21. We are staying at this place mate,,, http://www.jacarandamotorlodge.com.au/ Here's the address of the track Mountain View Motor Sports Complex NSW 262 Clarence Way, Mountain View Cheers Neil.
  22. Sounds like a great plan Mick,,,are you up for practice on saturday?.
  23. Wow I can't beleive you guys get so worked up about F1,,,it's so bloody processional. I've been trying my hardess to watch it these days but my god it is so bloody boring. I just finished watching the Indy 500 for a second time and it's by far a much better spectacle,,,cars actually overtake on the track and in the pits. Cheers Neil.
  24. Play "B" has worked out a treat,,,battery and rear relay/fuse box is in and looking good.I do need to buy a battery positive terminal cover that fits properly though. Duncan and I did lots of good easy jobs today :- Rolled the front guards and flared them at the same time so I don't have any clearance problems with the bigger slicks. Swapped the front discs left to right,,,I run them wrong side round on the shorter climbs to stop the vanes from cooling the discs,,,but this next one is longer with 7 braking points so getting less heat in them is essential. Changed pads as well to softer ones. The Patrol got a new volt meter and Duncan fixed my rear camera so we should be able to see out the back now. Wheel alignment and corner weighting next weekend,,,with the normal last weekend jobs to be done as well. I even spent the late arvo cutting the grass. Cheers Neil.
  25. I'd be interested in knowing if the boys bought the shafts and what they thought of them. I'd have to be due for a tailshaft rebuild soon and one of these might be price wise a better option. Cheers Neil.
