  1. I just did a search through all my S/S emails and I don't have it. Can you or someone please email it to me. Thanks Neil.
  2. Last night mate,,,would have been good if WE the drivers knew about it,,,shit it's just a email away. What I find funny from a open sports car point of view or an open wheeler driver is that the R35's are quicker,,,Nissan again has built the ultimate mouse trap and it cant win outright. Should I call them "Arseholes" Cheers Neil.
  3. Good day everybody, I’m led to believe that a survey was done concerning our state championship for next year. Is this correct?. I for one have not seen it and I am concerned that changes have been made without knowing anything about it. Now while you may think this doesn’t really affect “Neil” running his Radical in 5D, believe me it does. Some of you may well know that I’m a member of Skylines Australia and an Ex President of the NSW cams arm of the club, I own a Skyline of which I am currently converting to tarmac rally/race spec. It might also be noted that our web-site has a number of competitors, one being the holder of the number 1 outright plate two years in a row. Would it not be a good idea to forward such “Surveys” and rule change ideas to ALL the drivers, it’s not like you don’t have our e-mail addresses. It would also be a great idea to e-mail every driver when committee elections are up for grabs, quite frankly none of you know anything about “us” the drivers, you may well have a person with great organizing skills and/or class ruling ideas. I’m also led to believe that there is no outright champion next year, is this correct, as I haven’t heard anything about that either?, I’m reading this all off the internet. I really don’t have the time to canvass cams web-site to find out what’s happening and I believe it’s one your peoples job to keep us drivers informed, after all we are the people paying for licences/club membership fees/entry fees and advanced entrants fees. Cheers Neil de Pau I've emailed 'doreen.butchers@cams.com.au'; 'michael.gates@cams.com.au'; 'panel@supersprints.com.au Wonder what I will get in reply? Cheers Neil.
  4. Oh so the NUMBER ONE plate holder didn't get it either. Thats absolute rubbish. Neil.
  5. Congrats on the new little one mate !!!. . This survey you talk about,,,has anybody here been involved in it???. I know I haven't and I'm PISSED OFF BIG TIME about it. Does anybody have copy of it???. i'd also be interested to know about these meetings that go on but the drivers know very little about. I don't have the time to troll cams sites to find out when they are on. Thinking about shooting my own e-mail off to the commitee. Cheers Neil.
  6. Oh I have the soldering skills,,,and Duncan has them as well. Here's some pics of my stalk,,, Do tell mate. Oh and check out the Veuve in the background,,,nicely donated by Mrs Handley,,,the girl is all class. Cheers Neil.
  7. Thats no way happening for me sweety. Cheers Neil
  8. 16th of when you big,,,cute hunk of man-hood???. Cheers Neil.
  9. Yea the old wire 53,,,not cut mate,,,so I'm at a loss as to why I can get away with over 180 and there is no sign of mods. Figure that one out. Okay thats interesting as our car can alternate between low and high beam but never both on at the same time. I'm sort of hoping that we can run the low beam on and flash slower cars with the high beam. Duncan and I would both love that little feature. Cheers Neil.
  10. Well that was a barrel of laughs,,,here I was thinking removing the ignition switch properly would be a pain in the arse,,, but it took me no more than 2 pin punches and just the drill to remove it. It took longer to post these pics than remove the bloody thing. Heres the snap on kit I used Cheers Neil.
  11. Wouldn't that be funny big fella,,,I'm sort of hoping we can start testing mid jan or late feb. But like all builds it will drag on,,,nothing ever goes to plan. Remember though I will be still basically running a stock engine. Which brings me to a question I've had floating around in my head,,,we haven't found anything in the car that over-rides the factory speed limiter,,,no wire cut,,,no little box anywhere,,,we found this crazy box with a heap of wiring going to the headlamps and agreed the compliance guys installed it so the hi beam and low beam are not on at the same time,,,but nothing controlling speed. Cheryl has been well over 180 kays all the time we have owned her. Now I'm off to the garage to see if my left hand drills and easy-outs can remove Cheryl igntion switch properly. Cheers Neil.
  12. Mark an Off is an OFF,,,and no unfortunately I didn't get to see it,,,but I'll bet it was bloody funny and I would be taking the piss out of you. These GTR blokes think because they have 4wd they don't need to stay on the black stuff,,,they can short cut it,,,puting in a faster time and throw crap all over the track for the poor bastards following. Well I say we all band together and rid the world of these rude,,,cheating bastards. Who's with me???. Cheers Neil.
  13. Sweet as buddy,,,Series 2's are so cool. I could have proberly bitten the bullet,,,sold her and bought a gtr but I just love rwd's. GTR's have such an un-fair advantage and I don't like the way their drivers use more than the black stuff,,,nothing worse than going out after them only to find dirt and rocks all over the racing line. I don't want to be tard with that horrible brush. Cheers Neil.
  14. I was lucky enough to get steel pipes from work and practiced on them,,,pain in the arse. Half the trouble is using steel,,,copper is much easier to work with. Heres another tool kit I bought some years ago but haven't actually used yet. Now I wouldn't usually buy snap-on but after watching Nathan from "Grey Imports" remove some of my broken exhaust manifold studs I was sold. I didn't know you could buy left hand drills!!!. So tomorrow night I'm going to see if I can remove my ignition barrels shear bolts. Cheers Neil
  15. Hmm "neil is an outrageous recalcitrant",,,not sure how to take that Dunky (1.marked by a stubborn unwillingness to obey figures of authority or 2.hard to deal with or operate). Brad,,,yes I am anal,,,but at least I'm not as anal as Merli. Basically spent the whole weekend on the car. Duncan is a gluten for punishment,,,sunday he removed all the wiring,,,removed my imobalizer,,,cleaned up all the rubbish connections and even got under the car to remove the last wiring on the gearbox from my cruise control. I must admit that he does a lot of work and I do lots of thinking,,,not that I'm bludging,,,just sometimes I prefer to think of the consequences of our actions. I really hate fixing something that didn't need fixing in the 1st place,,,so far all is good. Fingers crossed Cheryl starts again soon. Before After Melinda served up morning tea,,,,ah "Donut King",,,nice. I'd like to say that the boot lid was a breeze to fit,,,but I can't. Now I'm not dissing the product,,,it's price dictates that work will be needed. The hinges will have to be elongated to get it smack bang in the middle so the lock lines up with the striker properly,,,no big deal. The barrel is a pain though as the carbon fibre is to thick to get the clip back on,,,so there was lots of sanding and I'm still not happy. Looks bloody great though. Pity it's going to be painted. Nissan,,,sometimes I love you and sometimes I hate you,,,I removed the blinker/wiper stalk,,,bastards use self tapers,,,nice sharp piece of metal sticking out,,,first blood. Love how the battery cradle with every thing attached came out complete,,,only 4 bolts and one nut,,,very cool,,,,this will be going on a diet. Brad,,,Are you sure I don't need to remove the glass,,,more than happy to leave them in. Yea no bloody boot trims are going back in,,,they are off to the sale section. Duncan,,,the dry ice will be ordered wednesday and as a stroke of luck they are in Sefton,,,in the side street of the "Play House",,,remember my test street. No people we won't be checking out the naked ladies while we are there. Okay that will do for now,,,but I must say I'm very happy so far,,,can't wait for some tin-top fun. Cheers Neil
  16. All Air Con stuff is sold,,,. Cheers Neil.
  17. No Mate,,,this is as funny as,,,. While we are playing head games,,,why don't we get the RTA and the EPA to check the road legalness of ALL the cars with rego labels and plates. Now that would be a barrel of laughs. Cheers Neil.
  18. Yes it is and in perfect working order. Cheers Neil.
  19. Seat Belts are sold. Cheers Neil.
  20. Sorry everyone,,,I didn't post a price on the Apexi A pillar gauge holder,,,$80 bucks and it's yours Cheers Neil.
  21. That would have to be without a doubt the most crappyest timing web site I have ever seen. Thank god we use dorians in cockroach land. Cheers Neil.
  22. Graham,,,we have had this conversation way to many times mate. No turbo,,,NO supercharger. Forced induction would remove the car from the classes I can run in. Would be great though. Heres a mini on my105,,,interesting to find out what the lease is all about. http://www.my105.com/ListingDetails/tabid/.../9/Default.aspx Specifications Cylinders/displacement - 4/1.598 cm3 Power Output - 155 kW (211 hp) Max. torque - 260 Nm (+20 Nm with overboost) Max. speed - 240 km/h 0-100 km/h - 6.1 sec. 100-0 km/h - 3.1 sec./31metres Length/width/height - 3,798/1,683/1,446 Wheelbase - 2,467 Min. weight - 1210 kg (incl. driver) Weight to power ratio - 5,16 kg/hp Cheers Neil.
  23. Yea I know what your saying,,,while it sounds and looks easy,,,theres a bit of practice and tech involved. So these will be of no use to you for brakes,,,just fuel hoses while changing filters and diagnoses. Cheers Neil.
  24. Charles,,,yes they are the red button babies and thanks for the call. Cheers Neil.
  25. Dan,,,you can aways hand over the right amount of cash and buy my radical. No it's not actually up for sale but like everything,,,money talks. I think a used Mini challenge cup car at the right price would be a great bit of kit. It already has all the gear in it,,,cage,,,seats,,,all the shit. Dragging horsepower out of a n/a is a very painful and expensive exercise. Prime example IS the radical,,,while its bloody quick,,,but not quick enough,,,I need to spend in excess of 10 grand to get 30 more kilos and I want 100 more. Turbo car,,,30 more babies is just a boost increase away,,,100 more is really just bolt ons. Oh bloody great vid Phunky. For the fun factor I'll have the R500. That looked like great fun. Cheers Neil.
