  1. They cant not Find it, its located on the side of my cold air box. I think I am going to put the stock boost controller in for the test.
  2. What about an EBC? Will the gus at Dickson fail me for that?
  3. Yeap, Dickson full inspection. Can you please edit my parts list out mate... Cheers.
  4. Hi guys/gals As the topic states I just got defected and have to go for a full inspection. I was hoping that I could get some advise from you all as to what I might get done for. My car is a 94 gts-t r33. It has 248wrkw with the following mods: PARTS LIST REMOVED Thats all I can think of right now. If you guys can give me any suggestions that might help that would be great.
  5. SSSssshhhhhhhh, quiet about the whole vg30 zuast housing being the same as the r34 housings UAS and other importers do not know that they are the same, if they find out the price of the r34 housing will go through the roof. I talked to them about getting the z32 housing before I knew the r34 was the same and they said that they could not get it anymore, too hard to find...
  6. Big carl: are you still looking for a new manifold? Are you interested in selling your current one? I think my smaller power level is due to me having to use 2 spacers on the Exhaust housing to fit the comp cover next to the manifold. These spacers are not exactly the same size and the one closest to the turbo has a smaller inside diameter and acts like a exhaust baffle... When I get the r34 housing I will get 1 bigger spacer made up that is the right size.
  7. Not for me big fella. 6 blade GT30 like yours and rb25 exhaust housing = 248rwkw. However I have an OEM manifold and no cams etc... + only 19psi Edit: I am putting on a z32 zaust housing (well its actually a r34DET one which is the same). I am hoping to get 250-260 rwkw with 16-17psi...
  8. So are you running the rb25 Exhaust housing mate? That's what I though they came with from HPInABox? Anyway it seems to me like the 7 blade turbo with the .7 comp housing is no good with the VG30 zaust housing. I am going to go with the vg30 housing with my 6 blader GT30 and see what happens. Unique Auto Sports have been selling these for a couple of years and seem to be getting 250 - 260 rwkw at around 16 psi which I am aiming for considdering I am currently getting 248 rwkw with 19 psi using the rb25 zaust housing
  9. Big carl has the 6 blade GT30 not the 7 blade that you are running Mafia (from your other post about your probs). Carl: are you still running the rb25 hot side? I have the same turbo (HP in a box) and got 248wrkw. I am about to put the vg30 hot side on so I dont have to run 19psi...
  10. I think the r34/vg30 housing will be good enough. It will see me to 260rwkw and bolt up to my dump. Plus its going to be much cheaper than a garrett housing... Thanks for the heads up though...
  11. ACT mate, I will wait until I can confirm that the two housing are the same. R31Nismoid, its not that I dont trust you but I have never heard this before
  12. At this stage if the housing is the same as a vg30 one I will take just the exhaust housing off you...
  13. The reason I ask the above question is because I was under the impression that the R34 only made about an extra 10 kw compared to the R33 and the r34 has some head design improvements. This gave me the impression that the turbos would be the same
  14. Sh*t, I did not know that... Thanks for the info now I just need someone to blow there R34 turbo and sell it cheap So just to confirm, the Exhaust housings on both the r34 and vg30 turbos are the same. How much bigger are they when compared to the R33 series 1 housing??? Sorry for the un-educated questions guys, I am a little vague on turbo spec etc...
  15. Hi guys/gals I have been looking for a vg30det exhaust housing for a long time now but cant seem to find one. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, is there any other option to go for??? I need more top end <_<
  16. When I say compressor surge I am refering to compressed air being pushed back through the turbo when the throttle is closed causing a fluttering sound as the air is "Chopped" up. I was think that since this happens when the throttle is open that maybe whilst travelling up hill something in the intercooler is blocking the air flow. I realise that this is a long shot as you should know if somthing was in the intake piping but...
  17. how does a fuel problem explain the flutter of turbo compresion surge?
