Very Disappointing Dyno Results, Help!
Yo-Yo replied to Wacky Dee's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just confirming the only modification is the exhaust? If said exhaust is x-force brand I'd look at that more closely. I currently run a hi-flow x-force 3" cat and can only manage about 192 rwkw on a dyno run at 12 psi, stock turbo so boost trickles down to 10 psi through the rev range. Mechanic reckons It's due to the x-force cat and I can crack the magic 200kw mark if I change to a decent cat, so doing this fairly soon to see if it makes a difference -
No problem mate, yeah the boost guage sits where the factory one would, i have the a/f ratio on the opposite end with the oil temp in the middle. water temp, oil pressure guages are in the dash already so i stayed away from those... unless you get a battery voltage guage? I have a power fc with hand controller so I can still read battery voltage on the display, only one left was the oil temp so I took that one word of advice, unless you're very technically minded and good at DIY I'd pay to get a professional job done. Takes quite a bit of customisation to do properly. boost guage had to run the pipe through a gromet in the firewall, a/f ratio guage had to have a wide band(?) sensor added so it could read properly, the guages themselves had to have a custom backing plate made up to fit them as the stock gauges are a 1 piece item. lot of wire relocation from the original plug setup etc. Goodluck, definitely worth it everytime I hop into the skyline

where can I get those pedals?! look almost exactly like the pedals in my Z, hmmm...
-
1 more pic I've got... not a particularly sunny day, but gives you an idea what they would look like
-
If you're still gonna use the triple guage holder 60mm guages will sit on the outside of the window, 52mm guages will fit inside the windows but you need to make a custom bracket from metal that they can be fastened on to. Saber only come in 60mm from memory. and the packaging was exactly identical to the autoguage guages I bought from JustJap, only the brand was stamped differently of course, wouldn't surprise me if they came out of the same production line from Taiwan or wherever they're made here's mine, smoked face 52mm. During the day they can be a bit dim if there's any glare, looks the goods at night can notice people from cars around me rubbernecking to look at the guages. I used boost, oil temp and a/f ratio guages in the guage holders, I can still monitor battery voltage through my powerfc h/c

can you option that kit without the monstrous spoiler?
-
only white and titanium silver i think from memory, here's mine...
-
The black spokes would match your panda style black bonnet and chin spoiler w/white car theme and the titanium lip would add to that 'wow' factor if you wanna impress some lancer/civic schoolboys. Just as long as there's a decent amount of dish and a good offset it will come off quite nicely, I settled for LMGT3's on my r34, actually looks pretty good, don't have the coin for LMGT4's AND tyres

Could be a different car then? The one I've seen is the real deal, red plates saying ZTUNED

Help! Where To Get These 34 Gtt Wing Risers?
Yo-Yo replied to escargot28's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Any number of companies make a set, There was even a genuine nismo version you could get but has since been discontinued, have to go second hand if you want one of those puppies. From memory I recall seeing a C-west version posted up on the forums, but was awhile ago. Good luck! -
Don't think it would "fit" with the companies' profile they've built for the GT-R being a homologated race car you can drive on the street. Maybe a beefed up version of the v36 skyline sedan? or the Cima I think it's called (m35 it's called in the U.S), they'd be similar in size to the cadi.
-
I've seen him outside powerplay once, lucky bastard. Never would've figured he'd own it by just looking at him, no offence if he's on here
-
Is there any laws or regs to consider when replacing the speedo? or is the speedo a separate part and the nismo meter just has a cut-out for it? I've been wanting to get a nismo dash for some time, lights up very nicely too! is the nismo meter directly plug to plug cvompatible with the GT-t?

Mwr34 R32-r34 Full Conversion Build
Yo-Yo replied to mwracing's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
At first I thought, oh cool an r32/4 front end conversion, then I see this... Lots of dedication going into this, can't wait to see it finished. watching keenly -
dunno mate, came from Japan with the ssqv and it's plumbed back. Both officers that pulled me over spotted the shiny ssqv but when I showed them the recirculated piping they let me off on it, prolly won't pass a full inspection but then again I don't carry on like an idiot on the road and I'm not a smart@ss to police. In fact when I was pulled over more recently the officer just asked me if it was plumb-back and didn't even take a close look, said he wouldn't ping me too hard about the pod because I made an attempt to cover it up and let me go 9 times out of 10 it's up to the cop's personal assessment of you and whether they want to fine you or not.
-
Funny, been pulled over twice for random license checks (gimme a break ) and both times they asked me to get out and pop the bonnet. Get off every time though, painted i/c piping black, cai box with snorkel modified to fit with piping, plumback ssqv b.o.v looks factory softc0cks! I wanna see someone do a Delorean conversion ala back to the future! Now that WOULD be interesting to see, extra bonus points for figuring out how to do it with skyline doors as they don't have a frame around the window
-
wow really shows how ratty the original paint is, I never actually took the gear stick boot off lol, I turned it inside out, lined the edges with newspaper making sure everything was covered and sprayed over the top, couldn't be F@rked taking out all the silver clips

Yes, yes you are, You also typed this post in english, big no no. Next time do it in Japanese kanji while you're at it... Then go and watch a sumo wrestling match while you eat sushi and have an unhealthy obsession with highschoolgirl's used panties Seriously though, does it really matter? My R34 came with factory option Bilstein shock absorbers and they are also a factory option on my Z ($4,500 my @ss Nissan) GTR's from the R33 onwards have Brembo brakes, RX7's/MX5's/RX8's all have optional Nardi steering wheels etc. So even from factory it isn't all Japanese. It goes both ways too though... read somewhere that the final lamborghini Diablo used 300ZX headlights, they even covered up the "Nissan" logo on the inside by putting a sheet of carbon fibre over the top of it. Lotus use a celica engine etc. etc.
-
what colour is the r34? might be interested in a few panels
-
Hey mate where you get the front lip from, I prefer it to be a plastic rather than fibreglass one. here's mine,
-
Oh wow, As far as GTR skylines are concerned my favourite has always been the r33, and that's my favourite out of the lot
-
Very nice mate, looks like a mint GTR, If that was my car the only other things I'd do externally would be to get a pair of nismo sideskirts or similar in CF to compliment the vspec lip and rear diffuser and also get some CF ganador mirrors. But very swoit as it is, lowered GTRs look wrong to me imo, that's just me

The power windows and mirror switches can be taken out pretty easily, unclip them from the power wires first obviously, the power windows switch has 3 screws that hold it in. The power mirror switch has two sections you can squeeze together to make it pop out, you'll see what I mean when you do it
