    ken; you dont understand tho, yes there are retards like me, macka and pual 'working' on the car. but the main guy is tristan, hes a mechanic, hes just finished rebuilding his 12 second MR2 and rebuilt an RB25DET. he is the knowledge, were just there to undo bolts

    still mechanical work aint brain surgery, im sure we can unbolt things without too much trouble. then for the hard stuff (headwork) take it to a specialist

    paul; nope thats purely labour. 7 hours on and off job done parts are extra etc etc. someone here on the forums got speedworks to do his valve on his R32 and it cost him $1K

    you wouldnt believe the quotes i got from workshops though. just for removing and reinstalling the head was $400

    ken; well only know once the head is off everyone has told me that number 4 valve screwed = something was dropped. but well have to wait and see i dont remember anything being loose and altho we may be cowboy mechanics, we aint THAT cowboy

    i noticed a difference with a partitioned pod and a CAI from the bumper.

    yeh i got a headshop lined up for next week unless its something rediculously simple like a bolt stuck in there in which case tristan should know what hes doing. well have to wait and see, should be a bit of a learning experience nontheless

    nah all the questions were just to get a better idea of what i was looking at. i didnt want to jump into the job without knowing whats involved etc or if i had to take it to a workshop or whatever

    id still want to go for a more recognised brand ie K&N, Apexi, Blitz etc its an expensive mistake a $30 filter could cause over $2000 of damage. it happened to macka 6 months ago

    its your compressor wheel at stake here, id want to go with a trusted brand. but to be honest ive never heard of them and if xspeed recommend them they cant be too bad

    you can buy the hurricane ones from marlows, anythings better than that
