    all meguires. i dont clean my car very often (once a month) but if you do it properly you wont need to clean it so often and this is better for the paintwork

    each to their own, and if you want private plates then go for it. but i kow of a few guys with them and they hate them - purely because of the attention it gets. whether it be in a carpark or drunken idiots. a skyline with a private plate is going to stick out more an attract the 'undesirables'

    yeh he does. thats the car he just finished rebuilding, the white MR2 hes over on contract work at the moment. started around 2 weeks ago

    u sure the AR of the comp housing is .80? thats bloody huge for a 1.8L

    i saw an R33 today with plates extr33m. now i know this is 1 persons opinion but why would you bother with personalised plates? i just think this attracts unneccessary attention to your car.

    yeh well me macka shannon and paul are all going to attack it this weekend. along with tristan a guy i know from work whos rebuilt his RB25 and various other engines and knows his shit. fingers crossed it comes together alright i prefer doing it myself, that way if anything goes wrong theres no-one else to blame but yourself. and if you take your time doing it its easy to do a professional job

    not yet. the head has to come off for inspection of the valves and thats a fairly big job. am trying to rally together a team of mechanics to do it in the garage at home cos i havent got enough money to pay a workshop to do it. will have to take it from there, hopefully its just a valve which needs replacing in which case i should be able to get it fixed fairly cheaply. theres just alot of labour involved thats all

    john at wheels world normally has this kind of thing in stock. if you need it in a hurry hed be worth contacting if not for the work, just for the supply of the items. tell him what other places have quoted you and he will normally beat that price. hes very good

    as it looks at this stage ill be tackling the job myself, for financial reasons mainly. with the help of a few mates who know their stuff but unfortunately havent taken the head off an RB20

    thanks for the advice. could you PM me the workshops? will avoid politics of an open forums cheers would you be prepared to give us a hand if we get stuck at any stage?

    KYB's and GABs are bottom of the range. stay well clear ive got GABs on my car and while it handles well its very stiff ride. go for a local product - bilstein or konis, japs didnt have our shitty roads in mind when they designed their shocks/coilover systems

    have you done it before? how much work are we looking at? ie man hours? could you recommend a workshop to take it to if it is too big a job?

    can someone give me a lift? i dont normally ask this but my car is ****ed and will be for a month or so due to lack of funds thanks to anyone who puts their hand up preferably GTR hehe

    thanks, i will definately need valves, hopefully not pistons - how much you want per valve? how could the 2 have been related? im writing it down as bad luck as i was only running the new turbo at 10psi... any thoughts, ideas?

    accident grade cars are rated 0 at japanese auctions and are much cheaper to buy. therefore alot of dealers buy these accident grade cars, some with current damage, fix them up and sell them for a larger profit had they bought a grade 4-4.5
